Ok everyone here are the pictures that were shot from the Meet the other night. We had a great turn out and a big thank you goes out to everyone that showed up... As you will see from the pictures we not only had euro's but a few domestics stopped by.

Thanks everyone for the support and we will keep it going, Dont miss the next one on May 8th, at 8pm (parking lot outside of sonics parking area)...

Ok so I finally got in contact with the Lancaster / Palmdale Sheriffs to get support. At this point I am still waiting for a response from the Lieutentant that would be on duty when we would have the meet. So far it seems good. I should have an answer later on tonight or tomorrow morning.

However at this point I think we will move forward with the meet, with or without the support but it's just a nice thing to have

Sounds good, sorry I left early this last time. I must say I was a little sad that not everyone from the first one was able to come this time around. Plus the Air cooled guys never showed (sadness). Well I know that it was Mothers day weekend so I am sure a lot of us had stuff to do. I think this coming Saturday will be bigger and better.

About the every Saturday thing I can see that some of us have things to do, I think the focus for every Saturday at this point is more to let people in the area know that this is going on and it isn’t going anywhere, then we might switch it up to 2 times a month and maybe I might even decide to host a GTG at my place like once every 2 months or something like that. (You know for all the ones that helped start this whole thing).

Where are the pictures from the last GTG? I know someone took pictures?

I want to share my vision:
I just know sometimes people have things to do, and missing a meet is not a big deal when you know there is another one the next weekend (so we will not always have a good turnout). However if they were less frequent more people would make an effort to show up as they are not happening as often. So For now we will do it weekly (so we can get the word out that we are here). Ideally what I envision is that the meet gets big enough where we take up a lot more space than we do now. I think we have a good core group so far (which is awesome). But where I would like to see it go is once every other Saturday then for like say every 8 meets we do a BBQ like at my house if everyone is down. We might even get to a point where if someone has a project going on with their ride we can do the meet at that persons house (or mine) and all lend a hand on the ride, do like a lowering party’s, really any bolt on type work type of party’s.

(I used to be part of a big off road group and we would hold lift party’s, fender trimming party’s, rock rail party’s and the person that owned the car would just provide food, drinks and location. We would try to get at least 10 to 15 people from the club to come and bring tools and help lift jeeps or whatever it was we were doing, it saved everyone in the club money as they didn’t have to pay for an install from a shop. As most of the people have done some work themselves, everyone brought something to the table, I think at some point we can be the same way)

Its possible, but do you really want to put the stress on yourself or anyone else for that matter of Policing the GTG when it gets to 100+ cars? Its not easy I can tell you from first hand experience, my old Euro Club used to host weekly GTGs where we would have an excess of 150cars regularly.... And it was a pain and very stressful trying to control that many people. And in the reality of things, the police dont care about GTGs, they just dont want any problems, and with big group meets, comes the few people who dont car about rules or respect and will do as they please.. (burnouts, blast music) etc.. In the end we have no authority to enforce rules, unless your talking about renting a spot that is legally ours...eh I wouldnt though..


A friend of mine Kieth from a NY based club (The DubNutz) once told me, "I believe in Quality, not quantity", and to be honest I've found this to be very true.

I come to the Lancaster GTG for one reason, so far good people, nice size, and its QUIET. We dont attract attention. Last week some of stayed till 12 just joking around and BS'ing about stupids tuff which is great, this is why I come to GTGs. Now as afar as BBQ's at peoples houses, I am down, cruises, events, whatever, I am down. I met some of the guys from Absolut Euro and they seem pretty cool and have some good ideas for cruises, photoshoots also.

ya i agree with quality over quantity. ive been to plenty of large meets that sucked because then it just becomes who has the best car and these groups form and its not really everyone just hanging out having a good time. for me its more about having a good time and meeting new people, i can care less if u have the fastest car or most expensive wheels. also from my experiences its very hard to have a large meet in palmdale.. not really centraly located and not enough euros out here, plus theres already a huge monthly socal gtg at speedzone.

I get it... I guess I was just trying to get us to the point I had the Burbank GTG's at (never a 100+ but we did have on average about 40 to 50). At this point the weekly thing is working and whoever can make it will. The feedback is great especially coming from those that actually show up. So let’s keep it going this way for now. About the BBQ let’s talk about actually making one happen (we can discuss at this coming GTG) given the Euro car thing I am thinking some beer-bratwursts or (for those of the weak of heart) we can just do Hot Dogs and burgers. About a cruise that would be real nice as well. We can even do something like on a Saturday morning down by the Beach (I know MyFastIsEvil's bro. knows tons of nice routes we can take).

So let’s make four things a focus for this GTG,
1.) The BBQ (when and what and who we already know where)
2.) A cruise (who wants to do one, day, time and location)
3.) Discuss everything else that had you guys there past midnight...lol (if I would have known you all were going to be there that long I may have come back)
4.) Where are the pictures from the last GTG? I know I am not going crazy (yet) and I remember seeing someone else take pictures.
