It seems like every Subaru enthusiast has to have these. They do sound better imo, but what's the connection with Subaru? Do a lot of people have them?
Here's a 15 second vid comparing them to the stock Subaru horn -

Is it just me or do those look like the knob for an outdoor facet?

my roommate had them on his old wrx a few years ago. I think he saw them on ebay for cheap and picked them up. didn't know it was a "subaru" thing

You sir, are a genius.
And maybe it's not as much of a Subaru specific thing as I thought then. I just always noticed how it seems like EVERY WRX and Legacy that's owned by an enthusiast has them, and I never really noticed that with any other group.

they are great & loud. I had a set on my MKIV Golf, then when they rusted out... I put a set of Hella Air Horns in.

^^^ Haha, nice Accent.

Showed my wife the original pic and she turned her head (unprovoked) to see it upside down. Great/Epic pic!

They don't sound as good as they look. Always thought these were the "euro" sounding horns...guess not

I didn't like the gay horn the 3's normally came with, so I upgraded to Hellas.I love having upgraded horns. If I don't find a better replacement horn, then i'm rolling with these again.

The Mazda 3 comes with a high tone, if you add a low tone it sounds like a nice meaty Vette' horn.
I'll be in my bunk.

Alot of the Subaru owners have them because we are cursed with a terrible sounding OEM horn. it is on my list of projects for the summer.

The Fit's horn isn't exactly attention-getting. I don't use my horn very often, but when I do, I want respect. Even in a tiny car.

Hence why I replaced the weak high-tone horn in my Accent

I had the Supertones for awhile and they were better than what they replaced. But these are the best yet and I'm sporting them now, powered by VIAIR and a 2 gallon tank:

These are EXTREMELY effective.

Maybe it's because a lot of people have them but you can see them easily when mounted behind that subaru grill?![]()
I had supertones on my mk2. I want to get some for the frontier because the stock horn sucks. I think nissan used the same one throughout the model line because my friends sentra has the same tone

I have a set on my Chevy Colorado. The OEM horn died. They are quite effective horns. My father used to buy Hella horns in Germany that sounded like the old hi-lo police sirens. They were great.

I would think you'd be able to see two bright red, round horns through any car make's plastic mesh/honeycomb...

Excellent horns and scare the isht out of people!
Before I had them, people wouldn't notice me and merge into me on the freeway. They couldn't hear the stock horn as I was blasting away trying to warn them of the impending danger, but it was to no avail. Now, cars swerve out of the way if I even so much as let out a little pulse of the Supertones!

Aside from the obvious tone change, are they really that much louder?

They hurt my ears if I have the windows down, whereas this was not the case with my stock horn. FWIW, they are very loud in my opinion
