    Un-freaking-believable.

That thing hits 200mph before most cars have even hit 100mph. Crazy.

I know the person who owns the Ford GT forum, and he said that the guy claims that car will top out at 300. Maybe he wasn't full of BS

I thought it was going to be like some of those Hennesey modded car videos that go after the 250 mark where things are all bouncy and violent.

For this vid, I clicked back to look at the speedo again. I thought he was in top gear and things were going to get nuts as the car scratched its way to 250, but the speed seemed to be achieved w/out breaking a sweat.

It seemed like 80 in most cars.

I like how it doesnt really wind out through the gears, it just kinda farts to the rev limiter.

Amazing.. I watched it at first and thought..man he is really taking it easy, lazy on the throttle.. missed a shift.. then it was all over and I was like that's it?

I watched it again and kept my eye on the mph...whoa. The car didn't settle in and pull until 150mph.. effortlessly. If that was a world record, it seems the car can easily top that!

Cool video, but, what's up with the gangster hand resting on the top of the steering wheel? Looked like the guy was on a Sunday drive in the hood.

You blow a tire at speed, doesn't matter much if one or two hands are on the wheel I guess.

He's driving like that because the damn thing will still spin the tires at well over 100MPH.

FAST CAR IS FAST. I like how it seems like it doesn't really accelerate until it gets to 6K RPM, right before redline. It just kind of hrrrump, hrrump, hrrump, 250MPH! Lolz!

I'm sure you would be a much better pilot of the 1800whp GTTT, considering your daily experience with the almighty VR6 and whatnot.

I'm surprised it even hooked up at 150.

  24. 03-17-2010 10:37 AM #25
Well he did miss a shift. They think it can top 260mph next time they run it. I've always loved the Ford GT but this is serious.

This car, if it had the gearing could do 300mph without a doubt.

I wonder if they are taking it to the Texas mile?

Dyno vid shows 1000hp@26psi and 1370@34 all from twin 76mm turbos. Very likely chirps third

It seems his biggest problem was getting traction up to just before 200mph.

I'd take the Ford GT over ANY Porsche, Ferrari, Lambo, or Zonda (f money wasn't involved).

    Why?

Because it's a way more badass/rare car, and a very streetable 1500whp is only 2 turbos away.
