I did find this scrolling through H2o show pics.

I really dig the look, too bad the real deal isn't that sweet.

Not much going on with the Cabriolet. I have been trying to clean up the garage space so there will be plenty of room for this winters endevers. It may be more sorting on the Cabriolet or I may start my '89 Jetta Coupe project; I'm not sure yet but the bank account will make the decision for me.

I just want to say that it's a beautiful car. I had a Cabriolet back in 2000, should have kept it, you make me want to go out and buy one again.

      Hot D@ng, Son!

      1. Heartfelt CONGRATULATIONS on your 'Mawwiage'!

      2. You have gotten quite ambitious and handy in your old age! With regard to your projects - Yowsers! (That verdammt wiring alone ) BTW, Niiiice Jackstands (Seriously)!

      3. I have gotten more impractical (read: senseless) in my old age. Although I'd always envisioned it happening in a diesel sort of way, I finally/recently entered the VW side of the German (or Canadian/Mexican/Westmoreland) engineering via gasoline. Rescued this abused one:

      Excellent Wishes to you,
      Brent

The car is an unoffical trailor princess. For the winter this year it will be staying in my father-in-law's inclosed trailor to make space for my '89 coupe project.

If you want to trade them for your wheels, I'm sure I can find you a set.

      Doesn't hurt to try.

The Cabby looks sick buy the way.

      Thanks.

The look of the motor is my favorite thing about the car (right now). The bay its self will be getting worked over after I get some work done on my MKII.

How much is it to rebuild a 16 v with dual carbs?

Why would I know that if I don't have them.

You can buy them new of have so random source give them to you for free, it all depends on how hard you want to look for them.

Is it wrong to want to buy a house so I would have a better garage for the Cabriolet?

So I have put the Cabriolet on hold to get this pile back into some sort of driveable condition.

It looked much better at one point and I loved driving it. Back in '07, on my way to H2o.

I have most of the parts to rebuild it scattered all over the place; so it is more like a clean up operation than a car build.

The car projects are on hold for a while. My wife and I are trying to buy a house, so the toy budget has been cut.

Still thinking about what I can do to the Cabriolet. The house hunt is going strong so the budget is not there for what I want to do to the Cabriolet.

The warm weather is right around the bend and I can't wait to roll it out.

Well the warm weather is here and the Cabriolet still sleeps. I had to steal the alternator for my daily pile.
