    When did they change the Chevy bowtie from blue to gold?

    You won't see the Ford oval in any color other than blue. Isn't the bowtie supposed to be the same?

    On the cars: starting with 2003 model year on some of them at least.

    The trucks and SUVs have never been blue, IIRC.

    I thought Trucks/SUV=Gold and Cars=Blue...at least that is what seemed to be the case when I sold them.

    not sure when the change over happened but i know my bubble caprice has been gold since its generation start in 91.
    i think the box caprices also had gold from the 80s-90s.

    This is what I believe to be the truth. Chevy and Chevy truck had different colors for the bowties. Astrovans got gold, Ventures got blue

    My 2002 Silverado has gold ones. My 1991 Beretta had black ones with orange/red outlines.

    I miss the blue bowtie (as well as the red outline "sport" bowtie).

    In the 80s and 90s it was usually gold bowtie for trucks, blue bowtie for cars. Then they switched it to gold for everything in the 2000s.

    The blue one is actually the proper color historically if you look back to the 1930s and whatnot.

    All my 80's Chevrolet cars had gold bowties. Our 95 Cor-Suck-a has a black one with a silver outline on it.

    The impala was blue from 2000-2003 and then gold 2003-on.
