Has anyone been in contact with Ricky lately? I hope he is ok. I have tried several times by every method and have not been able to reach him.

I have a pair of the door handle kits and they are great, but am waiting on my hood repair cable system to come. Hopefuly when it arrives it will be as good as the other Original German Folks offerings.

Ricky, let us know you are ok.
    Thanks

I hope he changed his shipping policy. All the stuff I bought from him took forever to arrive. Good Luck.

I ordered a pair of striker repair kits on March 21 2012 via his website, paying via paypal. Since then I have heard nothing from him, no order confirmation, no shipping info or tracking #s. I have emailed once with no response. This is seriously unacceptable business behavior.

File a claim, get your money back, go on ebay. Have u read this thread at all? Its pretty clear the guy sucks at business and has disappeared. Why would u then go and buy something from him? I myself need the strikers BUT im not buying them here. Just file the claim and move on

Unfortunately I didn't see this thread until after I placed my order. It seems that other corrado owners are not aware of ricky's lack of ability to run a reliable business because they pointed me to him. Hopefully one of these reputable companies will step up and produce these striker kits for us so we can open our doors.

I ordered a few parts from Ricky over the years, including the striker rebuild kits. I have had no issues, i received my striker kit shortly after payment. But this was probably over a year ago at this point. Sucks to hear this is happened..

Im sure others sell them i know volkssport does

Dancingqueen80@live.com this is his email address. I just ordered strikers off him a few weeks ago. I knew he was hard to get a hold of. So I emailed and called him. I got in contact with him pretty easy. A week later my strikers were here. I didn't even give him the chance to slack before I called. Like I said I called him the day after I placed the order if I can find his number I will send it to you. I found his number on a old post or pm from him or maybe even his web site. Good luck let us know what happens. But my personal record with Ricky is good

I already disputed the charge, in my eyes you should not have to "call" or "email" or "get in touch" after placing an order with a legit person or company. You send the payment, they send the goods that were purchased, it's a very simple process.

Well the above statements are true I still called cause after I read his reviews I was regretting putting in the order. FYI I'm almost 100% sure the number I used was on The web site.

Just wanted to say yesterday I was installing my striker kit and had a question about adjusting the striker. I gave Ricky a call and he answered on the first try. Gave me the help I needed. Real good guy

For what it's worth I received my strikers on 4/7/12 (ordered on 3/21/12).
Zero communication after the ordered was placed.

Your best bet would be to order them and pay with your PayPal for security. I used the number that was on his site to get a hold of him

I have sent an email to all 3 email addresses. Called a few times and have yet to hear back. I will keep you posted how it works out.

  35. 05-11-2012 12:39 AM #70
I called again and left a message. He called me back right away and was very helpful. He also said that he still sells these. Will be placing my order in a few minutes. I'll keep those interested posted on how it all works out.
