How the heck are you folks getting away running IRC at work? Any smart system admin would flag that as suspicious activity... if it isn't already blocked by a firewall.

Not a sys admin here, but the web client is so small that my IT guys don't care. If they did catch me, i'd show them what it is & they'd laugh( my IT director drives an R32 he'd prob ask for the link.
InfiniteEcho has agreed to set up a new server for us, which he's doing now. So I'll be updating the links at the top and letting everyone know when the changeover occurs.
so, it works fine for most people.
make sure your Java is up to date
We've tried it on IE6 and IE8 successfully.
I think Vad is the only person having a problem

the problem Vad reported was that he logged in, saw the chat and it immediately went black

It's free and easy to use.
If you use Trillian or Trillian Astra, there's an IRC server function on that
there's the CBIRC web client I posted in the first post. Which I like more than Mibbit, personally
we're looking into an ad-free solution to replace the MIBBIT client
