    New Hampshire mud

    march 2012

Many southern and central New Hampshire communities are dealing with one of the worst mud seasons in years, according to at least one road agent.

Travel on affected dirt roads has become difficult, and in some cases, impossible.

Residents along some muddy roads are frustrated and concerned about their safety.

This week in Tilton and Meredith drivers found themselves stuck in thick mud, but found that some towing companies wouldn't come to the rescue because of fear their tow trucks would get stuck.

    Not so crazy

    But....

Various stuck idiots on the Tail of the Dragon

    2003 sign put up

NORTH CAROLINA ERECTS NEW TRUCK WARNING SIGN ...... This sign has been installed on NC28 at US74 and gives truckers plenty of warning and time to turn around. Now let's see if Tennessee can follow suit.

Another similar sign has been installed near Robbinsville on US129.

    Yes, he's probably laughing here.

I often wonder how long it takes to extricate from these situations
