lol its funny never been botherd by a cop before but front plate falls off on the way to work + i forgot to re atach it = being pulled over 3 times in one day third time they were real dicks going through every little thing turn you wheel engage your ebrake checking all lights then saying im too low in the rear because it rubs when i hit bumps to which i reply only when i have passengers lol

mine would rub front tires constantly. any more than a 1/8 turn of the wheel either way, tires rub LOL, and thats with my ghetto haggard pulled fenders

You are correct, your car is violating MULTIPLE laws in the Highway Traffic Act. To be honest they could have had your car towed and impounded. If I can find my copy I'll toss a few of the laws on here for you to better prepare yourself

Your best bet is to co-operate. Being a smart ass is only going to piss the officer off, if you're polite they will do the same back (in most cases). Speaking from past situations I've talked my way out of many tickets with my old cars. And have only had one impounded.......

NO not at all, your Car by law MUST not be lower then a certain height, technically any modification to your car not performed as a factory option is illegal. The officer(s) could have requested an inspection at your cost, they would have torn everything apart and found every broken law, and site you on all of them =\ Thankfully its a ****load of paperwork...

Ride height directly effects suspension geometry (eg. the rearbeam causes the back tires to pull forward on certain VW's when the car is lowered) It also causes the suspension to function in a non factory manor.

You may notice a rough ride when low, imagine hitting a bump large enough to cause your car to veer to one side, it's an unsafe situation.

Familiarize yourself with this link, ask the officer (politely) to show you in his HTA book where he is getting his information. It is your Right to ask these questions, it is your Responsibility to be aware of the laws governing Canadian Cars, Roads, and Drivers.

Thanks, I'll keep them in mind for next time, I dropped the tires and rims off at a tire shop near my work and said it wouln't be a problem... I hope to be at the meet this wednesday.

The turbo in the TDI is done, anyone have a good ALH TDI turbo kicking around? I'm pricing out VNT17 and hybrid turbos but I don't think I can afford to upgrade my turbo just yet.

Not 100% sure who it was, I'm bad with names (and sometimes faces). He has a newish (less than a decade old) A4, so not sure how useful that one would be for him. The edition of the one I linked to is current up to 2011 so maybe more useful to him, I dunno.
