Wtf are you talking about? High street is up by wellington road.. If you mean Highbury, maybe say highbury

I do agree with you; proper spelling and directions in a thread might be a way for newcomers to find this meet.

Unfortunately the vw scene has been all but dried up in London. People don't want to hang out at a Tim Horton's parking lot looking at the same few cars every week.

I would be willing to bet that most enthusiasts would much rather see a larger annual event that draws a large number of people to the London area. VW scully is hosting an event this spring. Her event will draw larger numbers of people, cars and out of town enthusiasts to the area. The best thing about her event is that it raises awareness for cancer!

I would think that the few diehard fans of this thread should just start an e-mail list. You could communicate with each other on a much more personal level than on a public domain like this.

Censorship doesn't exist in private e-mail messages! Just imagine, you guys can crack all the off colour jokes you want, feel free to swear at each other, use appalling grammar and even display a total disregard for people outside the inner circle to your hearts content.

For those interested,, Posted a New Thread name on the first post but i can not change the Board title.. since it's controlled by the Mods.. so new first Post reads commish and highbury ..

Anyway the scene is different and hey if your not coming out it's by choice and for those that do .. it's a good way out and something to do on a Wednesday night.. Ya so some of the cars are the same but the conversation is always changing and I don't see how this thread represents the Get togethers,, Simple conversation can mean ways to exchange ideas and learn things from others know how ...It's helped quite a few people out often actually ...

Everyone is welcome so Wednesdays it is.. come or stay home..

Nice to see the summer cars slowing coming out and the bikes.. Wo knows.. the more the merrier..

And for anyone looking for us we are parking behind the Timmies drive thru in The Food basics lot .. more room and out of site !!

The way things are going that might have been the last time you see it. Hit a giant rock on the highway late Tuesday night. Took out the oil pan and smashed in the oil pump. I have it in at Top Gear, they replaced the pan and pump but now they're saying it's got a bad knock. They think I cracked the block somewhere inside and are recommending a new engine. No clue what the heck I'm gonna do. So ya, probably not gonna make it to the BBQ or the meet next Wed.

EDIT: Anyone know a good engine mechanic that will actually take the time to properly diagnose the problem instead of just "guessing" what's wrong?

Ya, depending on what happens I might be interested in your block. No, I don't have comprehensive, my insurance company wanted all these damn official forms and photos for that and nobody at any mechanics / dealerships knew what the **** they were talking about so I just said **** it.

Well good news and bad news. Got someone to loan me a vehicle for a week or so, so I'll be able to make it out to the meet this week. Bad news, I'm out of pocket on this one. Apparently since hitting a rock counts as a "single vehicle" collision, my accident insurance doesn't cover it.

EDIT: Try not to laugh too hard at the car I'm driving when I show up. lol

Spotted a Silver B5 A4 with a full Reiger Body kit on my street tonight, I am thinking I am really liking the look of the kit.

Serg: any more word on the BBQ?

I haven't been down to give it a listen myself yet, since I didn't have wheels and didn't want to pay $35 for a cab just to go check it out. According to the guys at Top Gear though, the knock is horrible, and it's not drivable.
