    Hi guys,

I'm thinking about getting the homelink visor and was wondering, is the stock GTI visor anthracite or black? Thanks guys.

I bought a used homelink module on eBay for $40 and installed it myself on the lower dash.

Just as good, and quite a bit cheaper.

That is very good. I would love to do the same thing..... Where did you find it and what is the power source for it now? What else do you need to do to make it work? Thanks, ML

I got that part on ebay. Just do a search for homelink. This unit came with a visor from another car and I just removed it from the visor.

The unit needs just a 12v source which I took from the fuse panel using an "Add A Circuit" adapter. You can get these at any parts store.

Is there one that is a direct replacement for our stock mirrors so you don't have to have the windshield replaced?
