    Thread: P0422 and P0441

    1. 04-26-2010 01:22 PM #1
      Hi Guys,
I have a 2002 Passat 1.8T. My check engine light is on for 2 years.
So far they replaced catalyt. converter(twice) and O2 sensors (twice) and spark plugs and coils.
And I am stil getting P0422 and P0441. Car is running fine. It has no problem.
The light comes back sometimes the same day, sometimes next day.
Do you have the same experience? Any solution?
      Thanks

Please post your Auto-Scan. It is possible that there is an ECM update for the Catalyst faults.

      Hi,
Sorry. I do not have my Auto-scan. I remember 2 codes 16804 and 16825. Does it help?

Nope, the scan will show the vehicle details including the VIN, installed control modules and software levels.

Yes a dealer would be able to determine if there are any open recalls or update programming that is applicable for your vehicle.

You could have the car scanned by anyone with VCDS and post the results here. We can't run the VIN, but the details in the scan will determine if there is an applicable update.
