That's typically a problem with the ECM Power Relay or a power supply problem, such as a fuse for the ECM Power Relay. Does the car run?

No it doesn't, i have a few wiring harness plugs unplugged like the o2 after the cat, and the ECM was unplugged and unplugged from the battery, does this mean I have to get it coded from the dealer? What other possibilities does this code mean?

Please post the complete Auto-Scan so we can see all of the details. Have you checked fuses and the power supply relay?

    Please quit bumping your thread.

That looks like an Immo III ECM out of a '02 AWP in an Immo. II vehicle. I doubt your dealer will be able to program that.

I would recommend checking your repair manual and comparing wiring diagrams to see if the power supply problem is due to incorrect wiring. Based on the scan it looks like that car had an AWD engine.

I wouldn't be concerned with the TBA at this time. It should be done after all faults are cleared. http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki...BA%29

Yes this motor is a 2002 AWP that went into a 2000 golf gls chassis, would you know where this fault could be happening in a situation like this?? if not any specific areas to check? thanks

Okay needed a 428 relay for ECM power ** installed code cleared and hasn't returned, could that have been the epc issue?

EPC light is still illuminated but relay replaced. That code hasn't returned but the car hasn't started either. There is an immobilser defeat on my ECM so the immobiliser is no longer an issue, any ideas? All wiring within the engine bay is for the specific year, from what I have checked the spark plugs are not sparking and the fuel injectors are not spraying although the fuel pump does prime.
