      Yeah, 50/1.4 Rockzz!

I even prefer it over the 1.2 L, because it is way easier to handle an may be even a bit sharper, less heavy and way more affordable.

Some not represantative shots of the 50/1.2 L:

I totally agree. My 50mm f1.4 never leaves my D90.

I want this lens so bad. The Nikkor 35mm wouldn't be compatible with my D3000 AF wise, correct?

What lens? There are a number of different f/1.4 lenses that have been used in this thread. I know I for one have posted shots from 3 different f/1.4 lenses: Sigma 30mm f/1.4, Nikkor 50mm f/1.4, and Nikkor 85mm f/1.4

There is no such thing as a Nikkor 35mm f/1.4 as far as I know, but there is a Nikkor AF-S 35mm f/1.8G which goes for about $199 which works perfectly with our camera (since the lens has a built in focus motor). That lens is an absolute steal considering the quality you get for your dollar. The Nikkor AF-S 50mm f/1.4G will also work perfectly with your camera but it goes for around $450 - $500 so not quite as good of a deal as the 35mm. Basically any Nikon lens that has AF-S in its title will work 100% with your D3000.

The 35mm 1.8 is what I meant. I think there is a 1.4 but its all manual focus. And thank you for answering my question. I'm thinking about buying a 35mm asap.

That was when I planned on buying it but I never got paid. I finally got the check today (the magazine sent it to my old address) and I ordered it with Amazon Prime so it will be here on Saturday!

BTW Sigma lenses are 10% off on Amazon through the 20th if you use the code SIGMADAD. Saved me 44 bucks!

Thanks. I usually do a series of PP edits in PS CS5; tweaks via adjustment layers, blending modes (same photo layer with a slight color shift) and some color layers with opacity tweaks. I don't ever add blurs, flares, or anything substantial though - I feel it spoils the fun of natural effects.
