I am actually gonna try to make it. I mean, I want to be there. I shouldn't have an excuse not to show up for just a a bit a least.

Im planning on meeting a few people in midvale Saturday morning of y'all want to stop there along the way. I know it's kind of an annoying random stop, so I understand if y'all don't want to.

PS I installed my coilovers today

Cross posting from the "what did you do to your car today" thread because i dont want to type it all out again, buuuuuuttt................

This list includes what I did today, so it counts right? since losing my job thats left me with a lot of time to work on my caddy so the list goes something like this. Im sure im forgetting a few things but:

    -Rebuilt injection pump (thanks Dan!)
    -new timing belt and tensioner
-new water pump and thermostat installed (painted)
-alternator painted to match water pump
-new accessory belt and pulleys painted
    -new starter
    -new battery
-hitting all the rust with rust converter
-rebuilt tailgate hinge and added non rattle buffers
-pulled seats, cleaned carpet, installed new sliders on cleaned seats
-rebuilt shift linkage, and added a spherical bearing to the base of the lever (currently getting it to work correctly. Discovered it was a 5 speed swap, and thus requires 5 speed specific parts, which has been a learning experience as to which ones those are besides the obvious)
-new door handles and striker pins
-new rear and front motor mounts (in process. painting the mounts a color besides rust)
-new output shaft seals on trans (repacked bearings and cleaned up all the mess from the leaky seals)
-painted the grill, headlight bezels and lower front grills
-attempted to straighten the front valence (its straighter then it was but dont have the tools to do the rest)
    -aligned the hood
    -fixed the slider glass latch
-pressure washed the bay, cleaned all the brackets and bay components, and waxed and detailed all painted surfaces in the bay i could reach
    -cleaned the wiring
-painted the fuel lines and dipstick
-pulled the radiator out, cleaned and painted it, cleaned up the shroud, fan and fan motor
-cleaned airbox, intake manifold, and put in new filter

ANNNNND thanks to Mat, it now idles great and runs fantastic.

    yet to do still is:
-clean up and install front sway bar and new control arms and install lower tie bar
-new rotors, pads and lines up front with the calipers getting addressed aethsetically
-new drums, shoes, lines, wheel cylinders and hardware
    -new master cylinder
    -mount mirrors
    -possibly install poly rack bushings
-get shift linkage working as smoothly as possible
-install windage tray w\ oil change
    -find some decent tires
    -drive it!

at this point it should be safe and legal, once I find a new job, it will be getting lowered
lots of 10 hour days wound up in this truck. lots of time waiting for paint to dry or parts to come in. At some point I hope to get it repainted to the original factory color and then add some sportruck decals but thats not necessary at this point. The light at the end of the tunnel is slowly getting bigger

this is why ive been a bit sporadic in my attendance. Im typically goose-deep in something dirty with this thing.

We meet at the JCW's in American Fork by 500 East and State Street.

We should consider moving this meet seeing as the majority of us are now in Orem/P-towne yes?

I vote for a change of venue.

I've thought the same thing, but I'm the new guy still

Mat, how many people have to show so that its not considered that 'nobody shows anymore?' It's not uncommon for at least 6-7 guys or gals to show.

I'd be more likely to go if it were in Provo/Orem but my real problem is a 7:00-8:00pm obligation every Weds.

Well mat to be honest, we moved it to am fork from orem so that a portion of the group wouldnt have to drive so far, so that among the people who came, it was centrally located. However alot of those people have gotten commitments that dont allow them to make it as often, if at all. So moving it back to orem or provo would seem logical, particularly if theres more guys from the provo\orem area that are willing to show if it was closer. Then it would be less of a chore because more hands would be raised saying they are going. That being said, im kinda biased since im pretty much in springville.

Even though this change wouldn't benefit me, I don't show up very often and if guys are more centrally located in Provo Orem, that sounds like a good move. Just make it somewhere good to eat.

I'm down for whatever makes the majority of people happy. The Provo/Orem area would work better for me.

Here's a few suggestions possible new places to meet:

-In N Out (University and State Orem)
-JCWs (2230 N and University Provo, tons of parking)
    -Five Guys (800 E and 1000 S Orem)
