i'd have to agree with ben, and andrew, i've been told personally by friends and piers that an MBA is one of the best things to have in any working environment. for instance, say you're an engineer, you're done designing, and figuring out technical problems within the company you work for, for over 5 years, you want to move on to something better, a technical adviser, a management position..oh you need a business degree for that stuff? not disagreeing with chris, believe me, i hate school and i think your advancement level within a company should be molded after work ethic and results, not a stupid piece of paper, but hey, thats life, ben, good luck, i'd say go for it, i've also considered and MBA at night after my bachelors, for reasons said above.

Lol I'm 50/50 on it but some 'strickter' companies wont consider you without a masters. My company requires at least a BA, but I'm friends with a VP, so I was lucky.

the r.o.i. on any grad program is not what it used to be I will agree on that but like i previously stated as bachelors degrees are becoming more and more common a masters is the only way to set yourself apart from the pack when it comes to interview time. when it comes down to the nitty gritty of person with a bachelors degree and job experience vs a person with a masters degree in the world of corporate big business America the masters is going to win out more times than not. that said there are obviously acceptations to this rule but big business = demand for big education

People with PHDs and Masters right now are having more issues obtaining jobs that people with bachelors are.

Its because they want to start making 80k to start and nobody is going to dish that out without the experience.

Corp America will tell you that the "best investment is to invest in yourself" which is true but these are same people who got their MBA back in 80's & 90's.

To be honest whether it be an MBA or BA/BS its just to land the interview. If you have poor ethic at the job you got hired for then your not going anywhere

It's all about self worth people. If you want to gauge it based on how much money you make or want to make then you have none.

Degrees, no degree, 100k a year, 20k a year, if you have to include your personal achievements as part of your argument in a forum, your more insecure than a woman.

Corporations cutting wages, benefits and laying off people in order to maintain the same profit margins they had in up markets.

I could go on for hours lol
