I don't have any old cars right now, but I used to have a 1978 Volvo 242. Do I See a mechanical Fuel Injection system at play and being transplanted to the new motor? I truly wish these systems were still in play today. They were reliable, and didn't require anything but fuel pressure and a good air filter on the end. I tip my hat to you for keeping with a reliable fuel system instead of "upgrading" it to something electrical. Great build guys.

Haha same here! Mines due for a timing belt, the cold weather makes it take a little bit longer!

Thanks! CIS systems are a lot of fun, very simple. I like to believe that I was lucky to have a CIS system in my first car.

Just a little update, I had this little Grant Steering Wheel laying around in the garage since the beginning of time. It was in an old Datsun 521 pickup truck that my brother used to have. Once some parts come in I can get this thing mounted! Photobucket

Wells just blew it up, not once but twice, I hope the new owner is a bit more Corrado savvy.

LOL He is good at that. New owner built this car:

He is going to finish the body work since I pulled the arches on it and Wells never finished the rest.

Na, London didn't buy it. It probably would have been finished by now if that was the case.

Landon is a local guy who had an epic 5 year build on a MK4 Jetta that was damn near an exact copy of the one you posted, never finished and now parted out. So no it would have never been finished by now.

Oh sorry thought you were talking about Mike London.

Just got a Neuspeed chip put in! Met a guy named Roberto at a local euro meet, awesome guy! Very helpful!
My expectations for the chip were extremely low, but the mid-top end are significantly better. Rev'd it all the way up on the way back from the meet. Feels great!

    Also...
Started the car up earlier today, was miss firing like crazy. even though I enjoyed the subie sound it ran like crap. Upon inspection the boot for the spark plug wire had a small tear allowing it to ground out on the cylinder head.

    3cyl ftw

    Thought I'd post up some old pics;

Fixing my buddy's boost leak on the side of the road!

Them trying to figure out my emissions diagram!

    Recaro's!

    GermanAutoPart's!

    What I came home to!

My buddy's car! Good friend of mine, not euro but still very clean!
