The '50s Nash interior sported front seats that folded flat to ccreate cargo space or a bed, as this photo from vwlarry's blog illustrates:

      Cool photos.
The '02-'05 IS300 Sportcross had a folding front passenger seat:

Clarification: The North American version of the second-generation fit doesn't have a fold-down passenger seat. The first-gen Fit did though.

In the '50s and early 60's parents wouldn't let their daughters go out with boys that drove Nashes...
I love cars, but the problem is they are like schroedinger's hobby. They're always in a quantum superstate of being both awesome and a huge waste of time and money... until observation momentarily forces them into one state or another.

Laying down in a moving car.... with no seat belts. Its amazing people survived after driving in a car during that era.

That era? I still do that. I slept between the captains chairs in the back of a van on the way to FLA just a few months ago. I'm I'm gonna die in an interstate crash, I'd like to be asleep when it happens.

Jetta SportWagens have it, except mine doesn't. VW cut a few corners to keep TDI costs down.

HHR. (Cargo and price are the only things going for it IMO.)

I swear Chevy sourced the Vibe/Matrix parts bin for this.

IIRC, the early MKV 5-door Rabbits had a folding front seat.

my mother's 2008 Rabbit 5 door had a fold-forward front passenger seat. It's now my office chair and she has GTI seats...

Volvo's P2 platform pioneering 1st gen S80 sedan sports front seats that fold down forward. Naturally the passenger side front seat folds down more fully as it doesn't have the meddling steering wheel in the way.
As it turns out both front seat backs have the same manual release hooks that one'd find on a 2-door coupe where the only way to allow easy ingress/egress of back seat cretins is to fold the front seats forward.

Also my 6'4" surfboard fits completely inside.....
I beat a Audi R8 away from a light in my Smart this morning, but I'm not sure he was aware it was a race.

The 2005 Freestyle has fold down front seats. With three rows and a fold down front seat, you can get quite a bit in there! Of course the Freestyle is now a Taurus, and they don't make this cross-over vehicle anymore; even in the Taurus brand.
