My only suggestion would be buyer/seller feedback for the classifieds (like NASIOC). I know if anything it will be further down the road, but just throwing it out there. So far things are looking good, keep up the great work!

There's an option under Forum - Settings to enable a popup alert for PMs.
I doubt the PM format will ever look like the old one though. That was very unique to ZF.

I think forums.vwvortex.com (and the other VMG sites) needs to be remedied soon. I'm hearing a lot of people complaining that they can't get on the forum... I told them to go in through the front door (vwvortex.com) to get to the new stuff.

But that doesn't even work because the link on the home page is still pointing to forums.vwvortex.com.

    Please keep the comments/suggestions coming.
Is there anyway to download them to our home computers? I have contact info and shipping address, user names that I need to ship people parts! And contacts about buying parts.

Holy crap. Your talking over a million people just lost all thier saved threads and IM data.

All of the watched topics are still there, just they aren't linked to your profile anymore.

As for the saved IMs/Notepad data, I am going to check about somehow importing that into vB.

VWG's move off of ZF forum software was not by choice. Audiworld users bolted mainly because
the new forum software didn't have that bizarre threaded display that those freaks like so much
    and many of us hate.

I can't believe people are bitching so much! This is a FREE website.... VMG has never once asked for donations or anything, and alot of you still find the need to complain?

Bitching and complaining is what the internet is for.

Probably a random glitch, but I just got booted out and had to relogin again, despite having had the "remember me" setting turned on.

Feature request (that was in old forum). To have the specific forum link available for each thread in the Subscribed List.
My old workflow was to create a bookmark to subscribed (watched) topics, bring it up, see if there were any new
updates to those threads, and if not, just click on the forum link to go to desired forum. Currently the subscribed list
has no link to any forum. You can't see where the threads came from without opening the thread. If there are no
updates, you're pretty much stuck. There isn't even a link to the top of the forum tree there.

it's not "free", they make money off advertising to run the forum. I also belive every one of the global moderators of VMG staff get a paycheck.

Anthony - thanks for considering tweaks for us grumpy ungrateful masses.

A minor request - can we change quoted text to not be in italics? It makes large posts hard to read.

There is going to be ALOT of people jumping ship.

think of all the users who used this forum as a secondary income by slanging parts and what not. all the old data is LOST with the new forum. Now multiply that by 10's of thousands.

people are going to have a stroke.

Is the motive mag portal gonna be canned? I preferred the look of that skin the best.
You can change the skin in the options somewhere. I saw it in there.

Yeah, it would be nice if they could make the default for this to pop up (like zf did).

I agree with this and also think it would be a good idea to possibly make it so that this setting cannot be changed by users (like the old ZF) so that page breaks are always in the same place for everyone.

not hard in VB to force only non-animated avatars, I do agree those ones are annoying. I find it much easier to scan for a users avatar than have to look for their SN

You don't get it do you? this change was FORCED upon them, hence why it happened without warning. The traffic will come back, the new infrastructure just has to be put into place. VMG is working as fast as they can.

Any chance of either enabling Profile Pics or just removing them all together? If they are not enabled there is not point to having the generic pic in everyone's profile.
Minor complaint, obviously not a high priority issue.

I understand it was forced, due to negotions now working out. I would assume, that the new contractors wanted more money, or a longer contract, which VMG was not willing to pay or sign.

There would be no reason for the ZF administrators to completely shut them down. Positive income to Zero income doesn't make sense. Someone didn't agree on price/contract.
