Just picked up my 09 Ruckus
      MSRP $2100
      100 mpg 1.3 gallon tank
$70 Insured for the whole year

If you haven't heard of them or seen them, they are effing HUGE in japan and have more parts available then a lot of older Honda cars.
      M1 License is needed

      Anyone else ride?

      Others for inspiration

How are you supposed to do wheelies with it stretched? That to me was one of the only reasons to ride a rukus moped. (well to me at least)
you know what they say about mopeds and fat chick.....

stock they top at 45 when they hit the rev limiter, with a $140 CDI it will up the Rev limit and you will gain another 10

With the CVT trans set up you can also drop $140 and have much better acceleration too

But be aware the stock motor is a 49cc motor. .
Guys do 150cc swaps all day long to get MUCH faster

Yup you need a helmet...and an M1 license is a Motorcycle license. There's M1s and M2s...M2s are for scooters and small mopeds and M1s are motorcycles a larger mopeds.

From what I have been told, they only Issue M1 now. . . .so you can take your motorcycle license test (M1) on a 49cc scooter and then go buy a 600 haha

Yeah I have checked out that site many times but never bought one because I didn't know anyone that had one or was into them. But now I do. So, I looked around and there are some nice ones available. Maybe I'll pick one up this weekend.

      http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/
      http://losangeles.craigslist.org/

you can find a bunch on craigslist.

honestly, stock, the ruckus 50cc are just too slow. I used to have a Honda Elite 80cc and did a few rides with the Ruckus guys on totalruckus. I can do about 40~45mph on the flats, stock ruckuses can only do about 35mph. But, the infinite amount of mods and 150cc swaps make it a pretty awesome bike.
