*Whew* -- good thing for you athletic internship, then! Actually, I haven't been able to spot your car in any of my visits out there. OTOH, you know how crowded it is out there, and I didn't get in much further than the door where they're restoring the red Beetle, so it could've been way down at the other end of the shop and I still wouldn't have been able to see it....

Can't wait to see it when it's done, though -- you'll have the strongest X-flow Passat in town!

there is another red passatt, that lives around the corner from me, same year and all. i saw an old lady driving it though i was waiting for it to break down so i can get some part off of it

i feel for you... my bug went in over break for routine brake matinence on tuesday, and they didnt even look at it until friday. by then i was coming back here in two days, so i left the job till the summer when i can do it myself.

That's the only consistent complaint about Walter -- he's so in-demand that he gets behind....

He gave me a bunch of calendars, fridge magnets, etc. yesterday, so I can dole out a few of 'em at the Feb gtg if anyone's interested.

anybody seen the VW W12 Coupe? it is this months Eurotuner magazine...the motor is two four-valve VR6 engines merged together at a 72-degree angle ...no other specs but a nice pic

it came out in 2000. they have been testing it ever since and are about to start production on it now, but say it might not come out in the states.

About the gtg...i am free whenever...did we scratch the frist Friday of every month thing?

Feb. 1 is probably okay by me; Valentine's weekend (2/14-15) is up in the air. Feb. 8 is also out. That aside, I ought to be open.

Oh -- and no more majors for me; I graduated law school a year and a half ago. Back in the day, though, I doubled in philosophy and music theory/composition, and minored in German. (I didn't sleep much in college....)

oh man... went to walters today... oh man. i'm moving in with walter. i've got dibs on that 23 window bus sitting up close to the front gates. thats the type of place i could have a field day in. i tell you, if i stay around here this summer, i'm gonna buy that bus... 23 windows, sliding ragtop, mmmmmm. on the downside, who knows whats wrong with it. but it would complete my collection... "She will be mine. Oh, yes. She will be mine."(name the movie?). anyhow, all i ended up getting was some 15 amp fuses.

hey eric, thanks for doing the stereo install today... it works great. i washed it right after, and not only did i freeze, but so did the doors.

a chi-town get together would be cool, we should make them come down here once if we go out there... we could find something to do here, right? so maybe we should stick with chicago .
