this little gtg has been gaining momentum the last couple weeks. not for the VW elitist but more for the auto enthusiasts.

all in all we have about 6 vw/audi/minis, some rx7s, 350z, bmw,and some japanese imports. pretty chill crowd

Def not Palmer. They r bad there. There's this place in southbridge my buddy just went to. I'll ask him the name later. I think it was like petes gas or something. Didn't hassle him for nuthin.

Sure haven't had much in the way of good Wednesday weather have we? And too many events all happening at once on May 1st.... swap meet at Lake Compounce, CVA Spring Dustoff in Mansfield CT, and Staggered in Somers CT. Theres a VW meet in PA @ a winery that Saturday too, but thats 300 miles one way... don't think i'm gonna bother with that.

Staggered is good? Somewhere i heard that the CVA show was not that great... didn't make it to the CVA last year, first time i heard about Staggered. I was more torn between the swap meet vs. the show... but... since i finally have my wheels/tires, the swap meet is a little less important than it was. May try to go to the meet early & then show up to one of the shows in the afternoon.

...<--supposed to be "Peace", but i swear it looks like a smiley holding up two really short wrenches...lol.

I had a great time at staggered last year. Real chill gtg. I think the cva events are more of an older crowd and alot of air cooled. Probly a good time but not my number one choice. Lol.

Hmmm... i just noticed that the Staggered ad says it'll have a swap meet & vendors. Maybe i'll skip the Lake Compounce swap meet, sleep in and just go to Staggered. Its always a long line to get in at Compounce and i'd have to leave real early to make both... then i'm gonna feel tired and rushed instead of enjoying myself. Tough decision... Compounce does have a really good swap meet... i might go all the way there and find a bunch of stuff i want, or i might find nothing... and most of what i needed i found at Stafford already. Its those things you run into that you didn't know you needed that are the bonus there. I'll probably decide for sure when the alarm clock goes off Sunday morning...lol.

Alternatively... Donovan's Irish Pub, right across the street at the mall, has a nice breakfast menu on Sunday mornings (till 11:45 or so). Probably beats hanging around in a (maybe cool/breezy) parking lot waiting for people, and you could head out with a stomach full of hot coffee and breakfast.

Being a pub, you could of course have a

too. Just keep in mind you'll be driving...lol.
Of course, to do that you'd want to start a little earlier to have time to eat, and depends on how people are set for funds. Coffee, omelette, homefries and toast runs around $10.

Oh... ok... yeah, that's a long trip early without breakfast. The more i think about it, the more i think i'm just going to Staggered, so i might go in for an early breakfast and then maybe head across the street. Did you decide on 10:30 or 11 departure time? Or... if anyone else in the group wants to head over to Donovan's... i should be there... maybe 9ish? You'd see my Fox out there anyway.
