still work to be done in here. but i thought you guys would appreciate the shift knob made from my buddies bedroom doorknob. stole it as a prank and put it to use.

Still need to weld in brackets for the rear seats, possible corrado center console, dash/gauges re-arrangement. But for now, it's comfortable

It's from BMW 7series e38. That holder is available in many colors and grey one fits well in Jetta with grey carpet. It was very simple to mount, I only cut a tight hole to the car and put it in its place. There is little bit of carpet between car body and holder, so it doesn't shake at all.

Just in the middle of changing mine. Had a draft42 panel in my last ride so got another but decided I wanted stealthier install.
Now you see it........

Panel came with the carbon wrap and due to the way things are right now will stay like that until I get the chance to texture pant it similar to the dash insert. Then its just the wiring to get in over the weekend and happy days

I'm not sure, but weren't the Pirelli editions the only N/A MK2's to come in FULL leather, doorcards and everything?

In the USA, yes, the 86 GLI Wolfsburg Edition was the only mk2 to come standard with leather, and thus is the most common.

The 85-86 GTI had a leather interior as an option. It was not common at all.
