    nice work

  7. 09-13-2010 08:44 PM #43
UPDATE!! The air to water intercooler is finished!!

  8. 09-28-2010 03:33 PM #44
    UPDATE!

A stainless heatshield was made to protect the spark plug wires from the turbo manifold.

After looking at it for awhile, I wondered how it would it look polished. Hm-m-m?

Then impulsively I thought about the intercooler................

Then I got a little too excited...........

Now I gotta polish ALL of the aluminum parts. Damn.

    Getting back to the S4.....

More bracing was added because the original stress bar was removed and a stainless 1.5" X 1" bar took its place. Jon tied in the original location back to the stainless bar.

Now the car is at the paint shop with the interior completely stripped except for the dash and steering wheel. I'll update on the body work once it starts.

Right back where I started months ago......

I like what you did with the secondary firewall....the tubi reinforcement looks mean.....but that probly should have been expected since the whole project has been badass soo far. .

I like the detail in adding the water jacket to the turbo outlet.

    Edit.

Never ask how much a project costs. The wife WILL find out.

hey would you be intersested in makingg a set of the engine mount set up that you fabricated for yours.
i have the 034 set up but like the idea of using a rubber mount setup like what you have designes. if possible and you can come up with a price let me know. 646 316 0809.

Here are a few pix of the interior pieces I wrapped in Alcantara (black #9040).

The A pillars, the side panels for the dash, the upper steering column by the cluster, and the lower steering column cover are done. I'm still working on the upper cover.

Here is a pic of the rear deck

Andy at Project Two Customs made the patterns and sewed up the center console for me.

The glove box is almost done and the knee bolster is already wrapped. The headliner is finished too, but I'm picking up another
one to do something similiar like I did in my Jetta.

Keep it going Rob. Any chance this car will be making it to Scooter's? When I saw you at Jon's it seemed iffy.
