What kind of fuel line did you go with? Only reason I ask is I just finished my fuel system and had an issue with hose I bought losing approval for fuel use after I purchased it.

I bought the Goodridge lines from Pegasus Racing. It is the PTFE lines that can handle E85, methanol, etc along with the appropriate fittings. What lines did you purchase?

I need to see the final results of this build. This has been one of the most epic builds I have followed.

We bow down to you sir.

How much horsepower do you expect from this build?

I'm hoping for 1000 crank, but realistically 800 crank may be more achievable. We'll see.

Here's an update on the progress....

Here are the parts that have just been wet sanded with a final 2000 grit. The next step is the final two step polish on those parts plus the intake manifold, turbo discharge plenum and the intercooler.

Below are the pix of the repaired bumper!

The bumper and the core support both have provisions for the mounting points, but it's not permanently installed yet. It has been test fitted and fits like OEM despite being severely modified. In its final resting position, it fits snug under the lights and the Bentley manual was used as a reference for all of the body panels in terms of fitment and spacing. The short story, yeah I know the bumper is hanging and it looks like it doesn't fit, but TRUST ME, it fits fine.

This is the first time the car has seen daylight!!

The OEM grilles still have to be reinstalled, but you can get the gist of how it will look.....stock. It should cover up the core support perfectly just enough so that the casual onlooker will have no idea what's behind it.

UPDATE! Here are a pack of three more things that require wiring! This should resolve any cooling issue I may have.

This is a thermal barrier to protect the paint on the strut tower housing.

This is the underside of the overflow coolant tank. Yes, it will be mirror polished too!

I finally got around to working on the OEM harness to allow the factory cluster to work properly. I also began pre-wiring the car for the audio system. The audio system design will have cues from the engine bay. It should turn out pretty good. As far as equipment, that's still in the air. I'm also waiting on the final word for the one off set of wheels for the car. I want to start the car in about 2-3 weeks if everything goes as planned.

As far as HP numbers, I hope to lay down at least 800 to the wheels. I have more than enough fuel and turbo CFM to do more, but I hope to start there. Regarding how much money I have invested in the car, I gotta keep that one to myself. Let's just say if the wife found out she may want to buy another house.

What's really funny is when some friends saw the car in person, they all said "How could you race this car?" They all want me to use it as a show car.

My thoughts......F*CK that. Why?? Because Race Car.
