Well, it's been a week since I ordered my BFI mounts (all 3, the best part of $400!) and they still haven't even SHIPPED them. If they do not provide me with a tracking number on Monday saying they are on their way I will be filing a charge-back and just get these. screw it. I am done putzing around.

i asked Josh about these as i was curious as well. he said they are still going strong. I have yet to order new mounts as i HAD my heart set on the 034 mounts, but a good number of folks have reported the pass side mount prematurely wearing. So i was considering buying the DLI ones. Unlike Josh, I Daily Drive my R so if i decide to order these, ill give a full review after a week and then after a month.

Now if only the dollar would strengthen some so the exchange rate was more in our favor!! I have 2 months until I need to have the mounts so I'll wait and see about the dollar to SEK.

How stiff are they in comparison to say VF or BFI?

VR6 vibrates a LOT less than the 4-cyl cars. My car with stg 1 BFI mounts all round vibrates less at idle than a stock 1.8T.

My thought with my comment was that The I have the ECS DB currently and that added some vibration. Well the DLI is waht Aluminum and Steel. Then add the APT DB with the Spherical bearing which is prolly aluminum or billet and then you have the two Polly bushings. just seems like it will vibrate alot more with the more solid Metal to metal contact.

    Does this make sense?

It will not be unbearable. As you know I have the same dogbone, plus the 034 Track Density mounts. Plus the billet flywheel. It is not even close to unbearable. The VR's are simply much smoother than the 1.8T and 2.0, you can really go all out with stiffer mounts.

BTW, what are the symptoms of the prematurely failing pass. side 034 mount?

The mount has considerable movement and gets really soft. I think one of the guys was saying that the mount just went to MUSH

I mean information specific to this failure (not failing engine mounts in general), and how it affects driving/shifting/etc.

I have. It appears to be some sort of transmission/shifter issue going on there. The faulty mount has been replaced.

I finally decided to get these. I have had the Vf's and the 034's. It gets old when you have to keep replacing engine mounts. If these hold up like i think they will, it will be well worth it.

I tried ordering online, but did not work. So, I just emailed David. He made it easy to deal with. I recommend just emailing him if planning to order. 1400 SEK each plus shipping.

Epic Fail... I ordered the 034 motorsport mounts and they didn't work for me (Well the dogbone did after 3 tries) So today I'm ordering these mounts. Should have done what I said I was going to do in the first place.

I think I might finally pull the trigger on these as well.

I have been thinking on them for a long time. Got talked into them, then talked out of them - and the getting talked out part lies in the fact that there is just a spring. So once the engine DOES move, what stops it? There is no piston or damper in there, right? does it just bounce once and settle? Or is that spring rate so stiff that it simply does not move - under normal conditions, which would present the same question again... once not in "normal" conditions and there is some movement, what settles it down?
