Deep dish wheels require low offsets, like 20 and lower. Our cars fit offsets in the 50s to mid 30s.

as u can see by this pic, higher offset eliminates lip and increases barrel size. And we typicly use very high offsets. Ur best bet if fender widening or (not my recomeded option) a wide body kit

I see, yes I was wondering about that actually because I knew about the offset, well what would you call the previous wheels above? mid dish? what brand are those?
EDIT: also thanks for that picture I've seen those and you pretty much help me understand it.

Every time someone uses the term "deep dish" all I can think of is pizza. Now I'm hungry. Thanks bud.

Those would fit fine except they aren't wide and they are 16". That's gonna look dumb.

As already noted, dish on MKVs is hard due to the offset. closest I found are http://www.raderwerks.com/ MTEN-80 series.

    also the Privat Netz http://www.tiredealersites.com/konig...ails&wid=12750

    I'm sure their are others.

    Don't believe it! It's a trick.

They always have a pic of a wheel with a low offset and lots of dish. Then you get the wheels with the correct offset and the dish disappears!

    They are nice wheels though.

See Runkus post in this thread http://www.golfmkv.com/forums/showth...p?t=66&page=25

A little different than the ebay pic, eh

Have you ever seen the rolling shot of oscar tucking wheel in the rear? So sick of this air is cheating BS I drive my car low as crap on 18x10 et 32....

And to the OP go with at least 17's anything smaller is going to look goofy. I think 18's are perfect on our cars but 17s in the right style are hot as hell also.

no, 16" is the size of the stock steelies, youd have to run balloon tires and it would just look goofy. 17's are the smallest i would ever go, and its still hard to pull them off unless you are slammed.

ahhh hmmm, well lowering really isn't an option at this point so, what other style of wheels you think you would look really nice?

If you aren't going to lower it, go OEM or don't do it at all. IMO of course.

and i agree 18's are the way to go, 17's are harder to pull off but can definitely be hot if done right!
