A acid dip is the way to go but the price is no joke -$4.50 a lb. I tried having it sandblasted earlier but the undercoating was too thick.
I had helped a friend do this to his car back in the late 90's

So to total up the cost of triing to sandblast it and then do this. I'm up to $650.00 to just cleaning it.

From here......it sucks to stare at unobtainium. Are you sure you couldnt make a mold of that piece for production purposes?

yes it is. The guys did short work of the syncro floor when they took out the plasma cutter. I believe they will do the same to the corrado floor

    I can't weld
So I gave the car to a shop in town that will cut out the old floor and replace it with the syncro
Everything else you see has been done by me.

    the corrado floor is out

the new floor will be in place tomorrow. Seems that it's not a perfect fit about 1" on each side needs to be cut out so that it fits

I have lots of new pic to show what really need to cut cut out on the passanger side. There is a extra reinforcement on corrados that need to get cut out or trimmed back to help slid the side panel into place.

The floor is now in it's proper place. It's been tacked into place so that we can test fit the subframe and make sure everything is level. Once it's all ok. The crew will weld up everything tight

    pics to follow

I'll have more pics of the subframe in the car nowas a test fit. Since they haven't welded the floor yet. They want to make sure everything lines up correctly
