I saw that 3rd gen Camaro you posted on the last page a couple weeks ago.

Beautiful hot sunny day today. Brought out a few new rides I hadn't seen yet.

I'll start this update with a fellow forum member's car. Not sure who's it is, but it has a VW Vortex sticker on the side window:

A) The aura created by the cell phone quality adds a nice, retro feel to the photographs.
B) You have a good eye for interesting vehicles.

Ha! BABE Rally 2009 car. 16vCorey's car (Vortex and GRM forum member).
Before it went to the demo derby in late '09:

Nice! Are those dirt bike tires on the front donuts?

I live on Bedford right next to McCarren. I am in for a Williamsburg car Club.
This truck was for sale for the longest on Metropolitan and Freshpond in Ridgewood at the Meyer Chevy looks like the dealer has been in the process of closing for years.
#152
not to sidetrack your thread Mr.Mook, but do any of you Williamsburg/Greenpoint peoples know of good spots to work on your car? I'm having trouble finding a good spot to do some minor tinkering.
#153
Don't know any particular spots, but depending on what you need I could possibly help out I have some space in the back of my house
Also up for a group/club for the williamsburg crew.
I pass by Harefield Road almost daily but don't know anyone who goes there so haven't gone in...how is it? I've heard good things.

Awesome cars! I have seen that Fahrenheit GTI around McCarren park, a few others also look familiar.
I've been to Spike Hill a few times cool place weird crowd, but I guess thats that area now a days![]()

I used to do most of my work under the BQE overpass on Meeker. It's great because it's out of the rain, you can make all the racket you want, and if you set up camp there for a weekend, nobody will bother you. The downside is it's noisy as hell, and when the wind gets ripping through there, you'll want goggles and a mask/bandana.
Lately I've been doing most jobs in the comfort of a friends garage, when he has space.

We def need a Williamsburg/Greenpoint/Bushwick car club...or drinking club...whichever
Mook, all the photos you took north of Mccarren are the obvious location to find cool cars. Rich people have nice things.![]()

I go there! I live on metropolitan, just past bushwick before morgan. It's a really nice bar, decent beer slection, some life music every now and then, back patio, and they do brunch on Sat and Sun. Beware of the toxic light emitting ATM in the back, you'll go blind.
I've been to A LOT of bars in the area, I know a lot (and dated some) of the bartenders at some of the more popular bars.

thanks for the tips on where to work...
I may give under the BQE a shot this weekend since it looks like it will rain on sunday.
I'm also in for Williamsburg/Greenpoint meet up, I always like a reason to drink more.

[QUOTE=JacksSenseOfRejection;71439542]Let me know if you need a hand. I use to drive this around williamsburg:
I think I remember your seeing your old car, I always keep an eye out for local mk2s.
I will definitely let you know if I need a hand...
or if you see a t-red 92 with Compomotive th2s, be sure to yell something.

I saw a new red Fiat 500 in your hood on Tuesday. It was my first time seeing one in person. That thing was in a spot no larger than the width of my Saturn![]()

Yeah, honestly, as soon as I saw that pic quoted on the last page of this thread, I was pretty confident it was a recreation. Not a bad one, though. Having seen the real deal in person several times (even out on the street), something just looked off. Barely. But enough to notice.

For the most part this thread proves you don't necessarily have to spend a lot of cash to have an interesting car.
#172
There are some really interesting cars spotted on the streets of Brooklyn.![]()
2002 Audi A4 1.8T Quattro
2003 Acura MDX Touring
Sorry, I can't think of anything witty for my signature.
#173
You're so lucky. Only cars I see around my 'Hood are ford f-150s.

My old neighborhood was much better than my current. Modern Ferraris, Lamborghinis and the like weren't out of the norm at all and there were a lot of interesting classics in the area, too. For example, the vast majority of these were taken within five or ten miles of my house.

Probably my favorite sighting in my actual neighborhood, though, was a pristine 300SL Gullwing. Though, seeing the SSC Aero SC/8T Prototype on the street before there was ANY info on it online or they even had a site or anything was pretty cool. Saw a few Carrera GTs and such, which I always enjoy, too.
