I usually like te look of falken 512s in 225 width on 9-10 inch wheels. 215 will be a lot.

Nice You should be able to see the offset stamped on the backside/inside of the wheels

58 on the 17s and 65 on the 18s

That sounds about right

So I gave the specs of my wheels on the mark 4 tire size and adapter thread and they said I should be ruining 40mm all the way around

That makes sense. et56 ---> et16 for the front and et61--->21 for the rear sounds right about where you want to be! especially with the wider double staggered rear wheels

haha that's alright, my longbeaches are et42 all around...so 15mm spacers in the front brings me to et27 (7mm from flush) and 20mm spacers in the rear, which brings me to an et22 in the rear (just about flush).

It's been said that a final et20 on MK4's is flush fitment

So don't I want a lower et in the rear then in the front cause if my front will be 16 wont that be out past my fender and if my rear is 21 that will be in

Exactly, EXCEPT your rear wheels are wider than your front wheels...which makes them stick out "more." Search offset and lowering threads on here and you'll begin to understand the utterly confusing, and yet simple, world of offsets
