FS: Pre-Facelift 1999 Audi A4 Avant 1.8t Quattro 5 SPD "Audi Tech. Owned", 166k, CT

Not Available AnymoreI have a 99 A4 Avant 1.8TQ GIAC KO4 equipped with 5 speed manual transmission that I have recently rebuilt. Less than 1000 miles since rebuild. The body has 166K miles but the Engine has a different story. The color is Melange Metallic and has a clear CT title. This vehicle is made to be driven and be reliable. Vehicle has set the readiness code(Emissions). This A4 does not bog, hick-up or sputter like most 1.8t Audi's. No CEL, NO flashing ABS lights, nothing! Car boosts to 19-20 psi and holds 17 psi all day long. Everything works and there are no warning lights on of any kind. Below I will list what has been done and what needs to be finished and pictures in multiple posts below, over 30 pictures! KEEP SCROLLING DOWN!! . Engine:
Freshly built AEB DBC (Large Port) w/ all new gaskets,head bolts, seals, etc... All OEM
Has a newer block with less than 50k painted with Por 15 engine paint( all parts have been repainted)
New OEM Timing Kit installed
New Serp belts( QTY 3)
New OEM Waterpump w/ Housing and new T.stat
034 Motorsports Intake spacer w/new hardware and gaskets
New OEM Powersteering Pump
Ice Cold A/C intact
New OEM oil pan and OEM oil pump
New OEM snub mount
ITG Panel Air Filter w/ Mod Housing
New Battery
New NGK colder plugs( Gap .028) Bolt down reliable coils
All new breather hoses and check valves
034 Motorsports Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator (set at 5 bar)
GIAC K04 software(chip) 235HP 265TQ ( also have stock chip) Horsepower is on stock setup( this may have more) Boosts 19-20PSI Holds 17PSI at top of RPM band
New XS Power K04 turbo with less then 1K miles
New 034 motorsports 3' test pipe w/ rear O2 sensor spacer
New OEM downpipe and OEM SS exhaust w/ less than 30K
New Forge splitter DV adjusted to 80 recirc/20 atmosphere( Sounds like a blow off valve)
New OEM N75 valve(C)
New Godspeed Front Mount intercooler
034 Fuel pressure Gauge in line with fuel feed hose
All new VAC. Hoses and anything else that engine needed was replaced
Body,Suspension, Chassis
Brand New Windshield (Installed 6/30/10)
ESC tuning bra
OEM sport suspension
New 12 pcs front control arm kit( ARMS, Sway Bar Links, Hardware))
New lower door moldings
New lower F and R bumper cover lips
New OEM Headlights w/ XENON 5000k system
New OEM Sport 17" wheels( The real thing, not reps)
Dunlop 9090 Sport tires 225-45-17 (4) 2 are new
The rest is stock and brakes are all over 75% and e-brake works great
INTERIOR
New OEM shift Knob
New armrest assembly with lid
New OEM floormats that match beltline trim
Glowshift Boost and Oil pressure Gauges"Electric sender"(can change colors)
New OEM concert radio w/CD changer controls and OEM subwoofer
Interior is in excellent shape and has hatch cargo cover
TRANSMISSION
New OEM clutch
NEW G50 Transmission Fluid
New Left and RIght transmission mounts
New RF Axle
New LF CV boot
NO wheel bearing issues
NOW FOR WHATS NEEDED
Front bumper cover has scratches( covered with BRA )
Rear wiper is deleted
Headlight washers were deleted and resevoir was removed(still have all parts)
Very slight tear in drivers seat( Replacing 6/10)
Right front fender has dent but paint intact
Remember: this vehicle is over ten yrs old. Expect cosmetic blemishes and scratches( no paint fade or rust of any kind.
OTHER THAN THAT EVERYTHING WORKS AS DESIGNED I have all orginal OEM parts that come with the purchase of this vehicle( OEM intercooler and hoses, breathers, Grills, Cat converter, OEM exhaust manifold, etc...)

1) New Drivers Lower seat cover ordered(will install soon)
2) Center vent gauge bought(plan on installing Wide Band 02) Already have the gauge!
3) Reinstalled OEM Exhaust Manifold(tubular header blew the mani. to turbo gasket)

Yes, I took that Forge sticker off! It gave it at least 10HP more. LOL

Hey guys, we might be able to work out a three-way trade. I hate the idea of doing all of the legwork and have nothing to show, but we could find a way.

natehack, you seem to want the Audi

And I would be quite content with the MKIV Jetta. It's not my first choice, but I can see some potential in the MKIV Jetta.


Meeting might be a mess, but it's still not out of the question. As I said in my PM, I'd find an Avant very useful and it is pretty much perfect for looking my age...but my wife has an MKIV GLI in the dark gray...and it would be pretty cool...(in a kind of lame way) to drive that look alike.


Anyway, if you guys are game...let's talk.

This trading game is starting to be a mind game. So much to think about. I'm willing to drive about 5-6 hours from my location but that's about it. LOL. Every Vortexer w/ car that wants to trade makes me realize there are endless possibilities. I like the white MK3 in Florida which seems to need nothing, I like a VR6 Corrado down in Chicago because I've always wanted a Corrado, and I like the MK4 in Jersey with the VR6 and now the MK4 in Minnesota. LOL.

Like I said, I'm dead-on ready to trade for your Avant. I'd love one, but if this guy wants the wagon, and you'd trade for mine...we'd all get to have something a bit different than where we started. The MKIV wouldn't be my ideal car...but potential is potential is potential...and I like potential a lot considering I've run out of things to add to mine before crossing over the line of classy taste.

234k but runs like new, and is very tight.

BRA removed due to requests. Showing some Rash on cover. Rec. Respray. I do have Factory grills. Center one istalls w/o a problem. Side ones would need to be modified to fit but would be easy to do.

Thank you. I hated the color at first but everyday I look at it and the more I like it. It seems to get a lot of compliments. It kind of has a classy look to it. And the belt line trim in the interior compliments it even more being almost the same color as the outside.

Cluster with Boost gauge that changes 7 different colors

Electronic Boost controller located at knee bar and can see easily through spokes in steering wheel. Also changes 5 different colors, shows vac/boost in digital format. Peak boost, volt meter, etc...


Oil Pressure gauge in center location. Also changes 7 different colors.

All suspension work, sport springs, both transmission mounts and fixed baro sensor in ECU box. Now boosts 19-20 PSI. I knew this GIAC chip was capable of more. I'm starting to love this car.
