I think Im going to bail for tonight. Maybe by the next one we can get everything figured out? What about meeting an hour earlier so more places will still be open?

alright, i'm retarded and can't figure this out. i got these FK/depot grill fogs/turns for my mk3 from ecstuning, and nothing was mentioned of needing a special connector, but i can't for the life of me find the right kind of connector for the bulbs that came with it. anyone help me out? here's the bulb (don't mind the mess ):

those have the "euro" plug, as in the front marker lights only blink, no parking lights. you can adapt your current bulb socket to fit the turns.

well thats what i was thinking. but the bulb holder doesn't quite fit into these turn signal housings. i think i could cut it and still get it to twist in and lock, but i'm not sure. then i would cut the wire for the parking light, and route it to the parking light in this new unit. these FK units have two bulbs - one for parking light, and one for turn signal, whereas stock is one bulb and a 3-pin connector.. is that what i should do? i've been googling and looking at electrical catalogs and can't fricken find the right harness for this bulb socket/housing...

Its hard to see what connector you would need from that picture Guthrie. Id say get some big female spade ends from a hardware store that will fit over the terminals on the socket. The chances of finding the right connector may be slim to none. The other thing you can try is bringing it in to a Napa or Orleans Auto and see what connectors they have. They do stock or can get various replacement connectors with pigtails.

Doubtful. I believe you will be receiving smacks well past turkey day for killing a nice mk2 coupe and almost yourself and passenger. I'm personally installing 4.11 or higher gears in the diff of whatever you get next.

Ah now I know why GM needed a bail out. They certainly no how to waste money.

And yes smacks will be mandatory. Pete maybe we should lock out the gearbox so he can only shift 1st and 2nd gear only. A high and low spec kind of like the old tyco turbo hopper.

Zanis, if you do find something you want to put a diesel in, I have that 50 over 1.6 11mm short block for dirt cheap....needs to be disassembled and reassembled by more experienced hands than mine.

got my air horns installed this weekend and tinted 2 trucks, then started on some more stupid projects on the mk4...... found out what was ruining my clutch thanks to rick and pete! thanks guys again. now i have to go easy until i can swap the engine which will be soon hopefully. waiting until it gets a nice weekend that is a little drier to seal the headlights with the silicon. then i can have the bumper back on and look like a real car. now onto the boser hood and rear bumper for the winter......hey kyle whatcha doing this winter?? lol or maybe we could bang it out in a weekend.

      this thread needs more pictars!!
