Put in the "verslagen" timing chain tension, and replaced the clutch rod. Finally back on the road.

Pretty happy I got my dual sport back to riding condition last night. I did the following over the past month or so:
Rear brake pads, new foot pegs, new clutch cover, new rear brake lever, fixed radiator, bled coolant system, engine oil, transmission oil, new valve cover gasket, fixed bent rim, new Tubliss liner, new front tire, replace rear brake light, new license plate bracket, and new license plate.
I'll do a new rear tire and replace a wire harness this winter.
Damn I am hard on my motos![]()

i wish the weather would clear up in PA soon, all I have been able to do is start it up in the garage and move it around. Put shorty levers on a few weeks ago and I still haven't had any decent weather to try them out in![]()

Converted the front running lights to turn signals on the SV. The flush mount front turns were not as noticeable from front as I like so now they are both front signals.

Rode all morning and early afternoon. Letting bike cool to wash and then ride more.
There is a very very small nail / half of a staple in the back tire. My buddy at Cycle Gear said because the rear tire had low inflation most of its life, unless I go up to the mountains the tire will be toast in another ~1500 miles. Hope he's not right...

Rode the aforementioned repaired bike on 85 miles of Continental Divide trail singletrack yesterday. It doesn't get any better than this right now.

Rode to work today. Thought the Volts looked a little weak (11.8-12.4) during the commute. After work made it all of 4 miles before she gave out. Original battery at almost 3 years and about 4670 miles I think if the battery hadn't croaked. Coworker enroute with ramps and his truck.

Tomorrow I'm picking up brake fluid, coolant, oil, an OEM filter, and possibly front brake pads. Saturday I'm picking up some CRG-replica bar end mirrors locally from a seller on eBay for $70.![]()

And today I repaired the bike after my headers broke again...... (MAC exhausts use single wall tubing) had my father weld on some pieces from the stock headers to beef up the MAC one. Anyways put the exhaust back on without the heat wrap and put a new oil line in. Cleaned the bike of all the oil on it and refilled the crankcase. Took it for a ride.
About 2 weeks ago the header cracked then that either melted or cut the oil line going to the oil cooler. Oil pump did its job and pushed a whole hell of a lot of oil out the hole and all over the right side of the bike.

Did an oil change. Trying to check the oil level without a pitbull is really annoying.

Looks mainly. I'll be able to clean the head on the front cylinder and everyone mentions the excuse of airflow for better cooling when doing the mod, but I don't know how far I'd trust that.
Need to buy risers for the risers as the bars his the speedo console right before full lock.

took a hacksaw to my front turns and took the stock mirrors off(will be putting a bar end on when my bars get here) because i was bored... much better.

Well made another noob mistake last night. rode off from myparents house and forgot to turn the petcock to on. ran the carbs out about a a mile or two down the road had to send the wife to get some starter fluid and finally got it to start. Was in a rush and nervous since we ending up out later than i wanted and i was going to have to ride in the dark and the cold. I didnt dress warm enough to be out that late. Made it home frozen but safe. Next time i need another layer and to make a trip home before it gets dark as im not suposed to be riding at night on my permit.

Rode my brand-spanking-new HD EG Ultra to the Catskills for the weekend and ended up doing maybe 350 miles through constant rain and mud.![]()
I took this picture to annoy a friend of mine who's a clean freak:
Started last night by pulling the battery out to try to find the 10mm socket I dropped in while connecting my battery tender cable:
Couldn't find the socket so I got to cleaning instead. Started at about 10 this morning and finished about an hour ago:
Ready for the next trip.![]()
