They did try to make her uglier to get closer to the book description, the actress herself is very tall but not terrible on the eyes

Again, I don't think we can expect perfect representation from book to show.

Best line of the whole show to date. Going to miss his character.

Just got my season 1 Blurays. I have the ebooks but I want to finish LOTR first.

I think they shot themselves in the foot with the timing of the Bluray / iTunes release. I would have probably bought it Day 1 six months ago, but now that it's so close to Season 2 starting up, I've been watching the HBO reruns of the Season 1 episodes. Woke up this morning and episode 8(?) was playing just at a random 5am time slot. I don't need to buy it right now.

I'll probably end up picking it up for a few bucks off on Black Friday or something after Season 2 is done and both seasons are off of OnDemand. Not sure that's what HBO wants to hear though

I picked up season 1 on Blu Ray for $35. Money well spent.

They always do this with their series. It's moronic.

Yeah, you should get on that. I've read probably 20+ books since you started Storm Of Swords!

Saw that comic in another thread, it's absolutely spot-on! A lot of companies really seem to have their head in the sand with regards to the delivery method their customers want.

The only reason I really subscribe to HBO on cable is so I don't have to wait a year for episodes of Game of Thrones, True Blood, etc. Maybe they want my $20/mo that badly. They could theoretically make more off me if I was downloading paid episodes as they aired though, which is really the way I would prefer to do it.
