First off, thanks again to all our sponsors for making the show happen this year. And a huge thanks to all that came to the show. Midwest Volksfest is a show for the people, by the people. We want to know your thoughts/comments/likes/dislikes about the show.

I know that parking was the biggest thing from last year that people wanted to see changed. We had big plans but Mother Nature threw a wrench into our plans and parking had to be reorganized yesterday.

So with that being said, let us know your thoughts!

I dont exactly remember what the complaints were about parking. But Im assuming because of the rain the cars werent parked right when you pulled in to the right, and where the cornhole stuff was going on.

I kinda liked where the MKIV's were placed last year as there were plenty of spots to catch some shade. It was kinda hard up on the hill to be close to your car and in the shade.

As usual, this show is always on the hottest frikking day of the year, no matter when it's planned!!

My 4-mo old enjoyed the heck out of his first ever car show!!

Was great to see a lot of the old faces, and I know there were a bunch I missed because of parenting duties.

Larry, the car looked great with the fresh paint

This was my first MWVF and I loved it. Lots of nice cars, but not much Mk1/2 representation... Seemed like show for newer bodies. Glad to see Louie's Cabby and Tony's Money Bunny up top in the awards though. Much deserved.

Parking was good. I like how everything was spread out across a good amount of the park. There were plenty of shaded areas and plenty of cheap drinks and food. Big ups to the coordinators who put that all together.

This is one of the best venues for a show I've ever been to. I don't see what all the bitching was about (which I heard quite a bit of).

Mike - Yeah the reason most of the cars were parked up top of the hill was due to the wet grounds. I did a walk-through with the Park Manager Saturday morning and there was still standing water in some of the places. My hands were tied on where I could park cars and so I had to make the decision to move them up top.

I know there wasn't much shade, except for a little around the edges, but you have to had admit that it wasnt as bad as sitting in a hot asphalt parking lot.


Anyway, hopefully we can get that worked out for next year. Thanks again for coming down and the car looked sick with the new paint!

but other than that...it was hot as hell, as usual, but it is worth it.

I do need to say that there needs to be a better DJ. The music was all over the place as far as newer and older stuff. All in all it was a great show!

i actually didnt make it out last year...I know Keith did though.
But the previous 2 years in the parking lot I had a 2nd and 3rd place finish...so it was fitting for me to finally win!!!!!!!!!! hahahaha

I LOVED most of the parking setup except for the poor MK1s & air cooled's again stuck behind the pavilion segregated from the rest of the show. I feel that they should be in front of the pavilion & behind it can be the swap meet / sponsor tents.

The top of the hill i think is a MUST have every year do to growth of this great show.
It was nice to be able to pull out at any time & made it look good. Easy for spectators to view the cars as well.

Yeah music was a little to much rap / pop
be cool to hear more old school rap, 80s hair bands. metal / rock & some new stuff
PLEASE improve on this


I'll take the heat over rain any day.

All you have to do is make music requests.
It's tough to fill 6+ hours of PG-13 music, especially when you're playing for people between the ages of 6 and 60.
I'll let him know though for next year.

another great show as always, music was perfect, especially volume wise, not too loud, not to low, and would love to see some more mkI's and mkII's and some more air cooled, but other than that, perfect.

it just keeps getting better and better every year. it was kinda sad to see that the mk1 and mk2 class fall off from what it was last year but there was still an abundance of amazing cars. it was good to see so many people out this year. just keeps getting bigger every year.

I think the only complaint that i know of was that it was on fathers day this year. Other than that, it was a great time. It was kinda upsetting that i was only one of a handful of mk2's tho. Oh, and those damn mk4's keep taking the awards..lol

Yeah...when we set the date we didn't have too many Sundays to choose from and we chose the 20th. I didn't realize that it was Father's Day.

Don't worry, we are already looking at dates for next year and it won't be on Father's Day.

Yeah & now that it's been OVER a month & no pics NOW your website has a virus & my comp blocks me from even getting in ( thank god ) cause i don't need a virus from your website . It's already been bad enough to see that you guys haven't updated it since the day after. You think you would at least update saying how your sorry it's taking soooooo long to get pics up & that you should have them up last month.

Please, Don't get me wrong I LOVE the show & will continue to come every year,
BUT COME ON show us the PICs. I think what really hurts is the fact that EVERY car was professionally photographed ( so it seemed ) when we entered the grounds. & yet NO PICs
