Thread: Can you put a Mk4 cluster into an Mk3?

    1. 06-24-2010 03:42 PM #1
My 97 Gti's cluster is all messed up and i can't find any new Mk3 clusters on ebay or anything but i can find a whole bunch of MK4 clusters on ebay. Can someone help me out with either a website to find Mk3 instrument clusters or tell me how or if i can use the Mk4 clusters in my Gti.

Isn't cluster dependent on the engine/harness or something? I know you need the donor cluster also for engine swaps.

Have seen a mk3 cluster and dashboard in a rabbit

      This might help?

      In for knowledge

Also, not to thread jack, but is there a different cluster between 12v mk4, 1.8t, and 24v? Or are they all the same?

might be a little relevant...but i've been told that only the dealer can swap in a new clusters for MK4's because of the immobalizer unit.
