I know that I kind of settled on the above Unit when I bought it, but I am absolutely thrilled with it.

It looks decent (in my opinion of course). and the Blue Tooth works flawlessly on my Android for the Phone aspects! Plus the Aux and USB are the icing. It sounds great with my amps and sub (as did my old HU). ...and I found myself still throwing a CD in every now and again

Not much - here is my old Kenwood Z828 with the Sirius mounted in the ashtray. Connected to a 10-Disc under the armrest and a Phatbox in the trunk. Been working fine since 2001! I want to upgrade to a newer unit with USB/Bluetooth...maybe soon.

We're the middle children of history, man. No purpose or place. We have no Great War. No Great Depression. Our Great War's a spiritual war... our Great Depression is our lives. We've all been raised on television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires, and movie gods, and rock stars. But we won't. And we're slowly learning that fact. And we're very, very pissed off.

I had a jetta city tape deck I got off ebay but it looked like someone just pried it out with a flat head. the sides were all beat to hell, so I sent it back.

ITs all about being able to play ipods. I wanted something that looks pretty factory, sounds decent and is pretty simple.

I ended up getting an alpine 9886 I tthink it is. I really like it but it is WAY to much for me,, esp in a car I put maybe 1000 miles on a year.

I was able to find one of these for around 250 couple years ago on ebay. Had it shipped from Mexico.

I dont have any pics of it installed and I will not be able to get take some any time soon due to being abroad for school.

I love the radio, had to modify part of the original radio slot in order to have it clip in using the original clips. The color of the radio is a little bit more gray compared to the corrado dash. The radio lights up red (which works for me since I will be switching to red switches). The only thing that I dont like about it is the fact that even if the radio is turned on the backlighting of all the buttons stays on, I have not had time to try and change that and its not that big of a deal.

The other issue I have with it is the fact that the corners of that radio are very sharp, and the slot in the corrado has slight rounded edges.

Besides that I love this radio, have not had any issues with it in the last 3 yrs. I had 2 radios stolen out of my corrado on my driveway and this one does not draw any attention, which is what I was after.

      Hope this helps,
      Cheers, Mike

Agreed. And they don't make their own radios. They are some cheap junk design that a number of companies use.

Just get an Alpine in-dash flip out and call it a day. If budget is an issue, settle for a Kenwood then.

Just installed, on a trial basis, a Pioneer DEH-4300 UB deck. It has most of the required bells & whistles, except a pretty important one which is a rear usb port. Possibly a deal-breaker for me, we'll see with a few uses if I actually like it. The most important feature with this deck is the variable illumination. I haven't fine tuned it yet but it seems that you can match just about any OEM look.

I also have a Kenwood Excelon KDC-X995 ready to try. This one does have the rear usb port, as well as a few other goodies like BT and Pandora, as well as the variable illumination. It should also show a small improvement in SQ.

Look at Dogger's dash and you will notice a flushed look. The radio can be made to sit flush you need to mod the dash. I really like the Pandora option

Roommate has that one in his Infiniti. It sticks out pretty far and he had to trim the left and right sides of it to get it to fit. You would be dealing with the same in a Corrado.

Also the "removable faceplate" on it is only the left side below the chrome trim.

Interface is mediocre and leaves alot to be desired. Way too many menus to navigate to play music. Alpine still takes the cake for simple to use.

The adjustable LEDs were a nice touch. Wish more manufactures did that.

I have been using a couple of the circa 90s Sony Mobile ES units. Period correct, and the illumination is very complimentary. Crutchfield also sells an adapter unit that will make ipod and other mp3 peripherals compatible.
