    Just a little update

Sorry but it’s really cold at the moment lol

As the car is being converted from big bumper to small it didn’t have a front apron before so managed to get one from the scrap yard when I got the bumpers had a good mate sand it all down for me and I red oxided it will be stone chipped and colour coded to the car

Same with the petrol tank straps but these where new

Also took off the bumper brackets and sanded them down and then we painted them red oxide, primer, then black
Sorry for the rubbish pics but it was just a quick one before it went off to the body shop didn’t have the camera charged when I was doing that work
And finally got the arches rolled all the way round thought I’d do this whiles the arches had no paint on them
    Before

    During

    After

    Also siliconed the insides

They will eventually be stone chip painted and the sprayed with the rest of the car.

and i would like to thank everyone that helped

Love the seats, but how is the backseat angle compared to the original ? leaned back or more forward.

    thanks
the brackets on the orginal seat is inbedded in the cushin of the seat where as on the new seats its just bolted on the back to they are a little bit forward but only by a fraction. ive asked people who've been sitting in the back and they prefer it but the majority say they dont know the differnce.

    hope that helps

    Hello everyone another update

it’s been bludy freeeeezeing cars still in the body shop and I can’t do any other work on any other bits cos its snowing so I’ve managed to save a bit of money and found me a donor car

the car is pretty tatty it was meant to be a project but half way throe it was stopped and never got finished the engine was rebuilt and The engine was taken out, stripped down and rebuilt with every seal and gasket replaced, piston rings and bearings replaced, new oil pump, oil cooler and filter, new water pump, new sump that was drilled to take the oil return from the turbo, the block, gearbox and the other parts were painted. It’s got a new sasch fast road clutch and new cluch slave cylinder, a custom exhaust manifold was made and a ko3 turbo was fitted, it has a big front mounted intercooler and a baileys style dump valve.

There are a few bad points the body and interior is gone on the car. It doesn’t matter as all I wanted was the engine but was hoping to make some money back. but I’m guna do that from selling the wheels and coilovers (get something back I guess)

As for the engine it needs a different chip red top injectors and an engine mount amongst other bits. And allot more cleaning and painting needs to be done I know it’s clean but I would like it to be spotless. The pipe work is going to be redone and the bay on the jetta needs cleaning and spraying.

This should be done for the summer but there’s no rush ill keep u guys updated. I also found a video of it running.

il take some more pics when the snow has died down

Sorry for the lack of updates but been waiting for the car to get out of the body shop. Been going there regularly and taking snap shots.......

And yes its finally done.... got him to do a few extra bits like welding a bit of metal over the muffler gap and flushing the rear toe iron. And I also got the Chinese rear lights.

Hope you guys like it..... Next up is stripping of the engine bay and back to the body shop for an engine bay respray........

We got them lights from the states (over from your side of the pond) so they not for UK driving, therefore its got to have the black sticker so not dazzle other drivers
