Sorry but I missed this message... but to answer your question the wheels are clear coated and the tires up front are 175/50/15. And sorry for the delay

Another update the engine bay is finally finished and red oxided. The paint has been ordered and hopefully will be going on so. We want to get a wrinkle like finished so need to do more research on that.

Also once the engine was taken out of the Corrado we found that the turbo manifold was welded by an amateur. After looking at this we decide that this should be changed as we’ve done everything properly and this would be letting the project down to put this into the car.

    More on this later
And the boot trim has been cut down and fitted.

    Hope you like

    ok a little wheel update

Found some porsche 928 wheels going for cheap round the corner from me so I went and picked them up today... they need to be stripped and refurbushed but they where going really cheap and ive always liked them

    16X7 FRONTS
    16X8 REARS

Then I swapped the G60 steels I had for these banded opel wheels

    15x7.5 FRONTS
    15X8.5 REARS

on 195 50 r15 brigestones with loads of thread left in them...

And now im confused so wheel recomendations welcome

great stuff, how'd you get the wrinkle finish?

Looks very OEM, witch is the thing I like.

The wrinkle finish was created using Wurth stone chip paint... to get the same finish use it with an in line air compressor version rather than using the rattle can version which doesn’t give this effect…

    http://www.wurth.co.uk/catalogue/pdfs/UK-CD_08_0566.pdf

I hope that helps and I’m glad you like it

    Time for another update
The banded steels have been sold mainly because they are not wide enough for me. 7.5 and 8.5j just didn’t look right. In the future I hope to band the standard 14” steels that came on the car to 10j and 9j. I’ve also sold the 7j Porsche wheels and I’ve sourced another pair of 8j’s

They have been skimmed to remove the groves above the holes in the wheels I prefer this look and will be doing it to the other pair

And I shall be looking into getting them p slotted (that’s if I can find someone willing to do it)
As for the rest of the car bits have started coming back from the powder coaters
    Before

The rear engine mounts are by Flo-Flex and the rest of the car will polyurethane bushes throughout and everything powder coated gloss black.

And painted the last few body parts
