Seems TF has a financial interest in the company as his address is their "Canberra Depot". The car is locally sold (Capital Star) but has NSW rego.

After the usual cheap, shiity, tar and chip rush job ACT roads have done on parts of Lanyon drive, the white GTI closer resembles a dalmatian paintjob. Fukken covered from front to back in tar.

What do you think my chances would taking ACT RUS to small claims for the cost of complete detailing to restore the paintwork??

Seems to be the way the ACT government resurfaces worn/damaged/neglected roads nowadays. Yeh, my little white cars are feeling the Dalmatian effect too..

This being an Election year, I'd suggest your first port of call be one or more of your local (ALP) Assembly members

Eaglehawk is not even in the ACT. Sue them for misrepresentation!!

Meanwhile, if you have time for a beer or a coffee, let us know

Driving the GDE in the AM with that little car is like using a race horse for a kiddies pony ride.

It sure was me!!! I love the 'right lane hogs' who stick on 85kmh. At least we can pass them fairly easily on the left.....

Saw you last night too on your descent into Yerrabi with a fake EVO V chasing you though the roundabout at Gundaroo Dr....

Spotted Lima behind me on Wakefield just after 6pm, nearly chased you home for a chat but just finished playing squash and was keen for a shower.

I waved when I was first behind you, not sure if you saw. At least this time, after seeing you on my drive home, I made it without having a stack!

Nah I missed the wave, i noticed you were there pretty late. I was fascinated by the dude in front balancing on his bike while stopped. I could never do that :-(

Thankfully Lima, the Pug is all fixed....only took 6 working days. The C200 Benz was a nice loan car.

You may have met Tim before....it's his GTA. He is swanning around Europe in a RSC200 Gordini..... Am keeping the GTA company. Worked out well yesterday as the Golf swallowed a screw in the front right tyre....made it easy to carry the tyre in his car rather than use those lame space savers....

    Excellent..

I think it was all your lobbying and petitioning over the years Liam. And agree that your design sh!ts all over the proposed ones... Did they get a bored work experience kid come up with their design or what??

Having said that, beggars can't be choosers...

  34. 05-09-2012 08:03 AM #524
Great. Just when I don't need euro plates anymore... Maybe for the next car in a few years.

    Ahhh...... first world problems.

Agreed- if you're going to create Euro style plates, they actually need to look like Euro plates. Maybe there's time to resend your design to the ACT Gov Lima?
