Anyone with a lifted MK2 post a pic!

Please post suspension setup, tire size etc.

This is not intended to be a DIY thread, but more of an "alternative" stance thread.
However, if you have any questions, I'll do my best to answer them.

I'll start with my winter beater:

      185-70-14 Toyo's (temporary)
Will be running 185-75-14 Firestone Winterforce

MK3 4cyl front suspension (direct swap)
B3 Passat wagon rear suspension (with MK2/MK3 upper strut mount)

^ I spy wheel gap, that's good enough for me Oh, and very clean car BTW

The Golf Country was something I found out about only after seeing Frankencar's TDi Golf, which was what made me want to build one of my own. If I were to do it over I would start with a Diesel 4dr Golf, and build it to be a clone of the County. syncro and body lift included

I've thought about going with the 4x4 stance and having someone fabricate the front grill and back spare tire bit for me. It'd be kinda phony i guess but pretty fun too

Bilstein Group B Roadrace struts front and rear with Shine Motorsports springs all around with the JOM lowering caps up front. Ride is awesome, handles great, isnt killer on the back and my daughter can ride in the back without the flares and fenders rubbing on the rear tires. In fact, I also added some 3mm spacers out back as well and there is still no rubbing. AND I STILL HAVE MY 2 FINGER GAP!! Which, as you may not be able to tell - I like. I like the clearance and I can really drive the hell out of the car. Stays flat and planted on the corners.

i machined spacers for between the K member and the body, the front crossmember and the body, MK3 VR6 springs and shocks, custom machined spacers on top of the front struts, square street sign post in the rear in the swing arm to make the rear shocks adjustable.

^ Thanks for the info man, not sure if I'm willing to go that far, but it's good to know it's been done.

Some new pictures from this weekend, took my car down an access road up at my cottage. I don't think too many cars would have made it through

This hill was where I thought I would get stuck, after I cleared it I stopped taking pictures, I was so pumped I just wanted to clear the rest of the trail.

I'm going back with a friend and a video camera

Made some changes to the jetta, new winter tires and 1/2 inch axle spacers out back.
Took it off-road for the first time. I didn't have a camera with me, but here's the aftermath:

I've got no pictures but I'm running B4 VR6 suspension up front (springs, struts, and bearings) and on the back I'm running B4 VR6 springs on MKIII struts and caps. This setup lifted my car 7" from summer mode. Currently I'm running 195/60R14's for tires but I will be swapping them out for 195/70R14's for winter. This is all on my 92 Golf Gl.

For you guys with lifted setups, you having any axles issues?

got tired of this last winter, fixing the exhaust 3 times a week and repairing fuel lines sucks.

      so i went this route.

and now its back to this with ABA ripped out and a VR6 installed

No issues at all yet, but I'm running mk3 4cyl front suspension, so the lift is less intense.
I even ran the car hard for a whole weekend, and then a rally cross event with no damage to the axles,
not even a tear in the cv boot! Pretty good considering the car was airborne several times.
