Personally, not a huge fan of the wheels but overall the car looks very good! You can tell it's modded but not in a Civic raceboy way at all. Would def notice this on the highway. Even with the wheel gap.

If anybody needs a Unitronic tune, Snow Performance alky kit, or Griots Garage car care products I'm in the Rucker area during the week. I see alot of dubs on post but don't hear alot about any shops around. I have a Dyno Dynamics dyno too if you guys want to travel to Pelham. I'm going to setup a dyno day sometime soon so I'll keep you guys posted as to when.

    Thanks!

So I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that I wanna go vrt. Now I just wait for my new job to finalize and get a some months in the hole before I start to finance things. I was just wondering if any of you know the spool characteristics between the 3071, 3076, and 3582 on 12v's?

You're going to have to hit forced induction forums for that one.

Hey guys I'm about three months new to the Rucker area and recently got my 2013 CW GTI. I was just wondering if you guys know any local place who do tuning. I know APR is about 90 miles away but I'm not sure if there are any other options.

Ahh. My bad. Some dude in a white GTI rolled down with us. Anyways, if you get bored on Friday come out to our car meet in Enterprise around 8-8:30 at Hardee's. it's not a VW thing but me and 2 other guys with VW's usually make it out.

Been seeing a jazz blue golf (Mk4) with a Jetta front clip around. Curious on this one.

*note: I wish DantesGTI would take down that jpeg. I have to look at it everytime this page opens and, frankly, its embarrassing.

Peter: I gave up on lowering the CC and sold off the springs. Some dude in Tampa took 'em. So now I have time to watch "The Thing" *hint hint

Yea that's Ray in the Jazz Blue golf. It's a TDI and he got some good parts off a wrecked GLI such as the recaros and front end. He also has a caddy!

Im a VR guy but from what I've heard, let cost and convenience be your guide. Both good tunes.

I'm an APR guy myself, and if you come out Friday Joseph will show you his mk6 stage 2 GTI. If you plan on doing a custom turbo upgrade down the road Unitronic is more suited to that, but if you plan on staying with APR kits and products then I'd go with them.

Okay so I'm back again with another VR question. I've been considering getting cams whenever I have to do my chains(which could be soon, not too sure), anyway the question is other than getting the HD springs is there anything else I'd need to consider with camming a high-mileage vr. I was thinking I might need to get new lifters as well.

Cams: either Autotek 262 or TT 264/260(or 264/263 but haven't look at the specs yet)
Mileage: most likely be around 250k

    250?? !! ?? !! ?? Isn't that like tossing money into a casket?

Unless you open the motor and find issues with the lifters, doubtful there would be any reason to replace them. If the tops aren't badly scored by the cam lobes meaning they are smooth and shiney, just lift them out, soak them in a solvent to ensure there's no sludge inside, then return them to service.
