Jimmy....didnt you order aluminum valve stems ? ?
Also how much was the chemical guys stuff ?
I ended up not going with them after all.
They were very polished and short. The polished look didn't look good against the gunmetal and like you said.. The flash mount stem could cause me to scratch up the paint with the air hose.
Mike at Tyrol had some shorter length black ones that look great
The chemical guys stuff was like $17 on amazon, but the 1 can could probably do 100 applications.
I'll just give you mine, bc I'm not gonna use it in atleast a month.
Then you can try it out first.

Well just meet at my house like last time. The meet up spot is like 10 min from me.
So I found this thread on the Zine about AoA putting out a new bulletin. It says AoA has new software that automatically detects if your car has been tuned and can deny warranty claims. Dealers (even mod friendly ones) have no control over this because the warranty work has to be approved by AoA so the dealer can get paid for the work. If detected, your car modded car will automatically be flagged in their database so all dealers will know, and no one can remove this from their system.
Thread is here: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...e-to-APR-flash
Not sure if this will also apply to VW.
The new 'flag' is called TD1 and it basically comes down to this as qouted by another member on the zine:
"The SA won't know about this, and the tech might not even know either. Here is what they DO know. Everything they do which is not charged to a customer, is either absorbed by the dealership, or Audi pays for it. The dealership wants Audi to pay for it (or in most cases reimburse them) and Audi says "if you want to be paid, you have to hook the car up to the computer," so the dealership just does it. They don't know why or ask, they just do what Audi says so they can get paid. the computer does things like logs mileage, fault codes, check engine lights and the like, but also, without the tech, SA, or anyone at the dealership knowing, Audi has the computer pull whatever they are using to tell if the ECU has been tampered with. This is then sent back to Audi in Germany, and once there, the results are verified and your VIN is flagged with TD1.
Now, whenever your car comes in for servicing, or repairs, they hook it to the computer, and are told by Audi if Audi will pay for said work. The dealer is out of the loop until such time you try to get work done, and Audi says "Sorry the ECU was modified and we are not paying for it" at which point the dealer shares this with you. Done is done. "
This can be a game changer for people who get new rides thinking they can mod and may still get work covered under warranty. F%#K!!

A few things I don't understand here shone.
First off, there are several Audi dealers doing flashes, coils, intake installs (anchor audi for one)
Are they making people sign waivers acknowledging that your warranty is now void?
Secondly, how is tampering with your ECU have to do with something unrelated such as suspension components or in my case a water pump.
If they can't directly relate the issue to the modification then how can they justify voiding any part of the warranty?
