Damn bro sorry to hear that. Do you have insurance coverage on breakins? maybe you can get it covered that way...

I feel your pain, first you think why did this happen, could I have done things differently, etc. When my car got broken into and my navigation was stolen, my insurance covered everything (state farm). But instead of covering everything with just a check, they had a contract with with some company for the electronics. My navigation was one model older than the newest one out so they replaced it with the newest model that was available. If you have coverage and have the receipts for the items that were stolen, you may be able to get at least some of your items replaced.

My disgusting inssurance...(progressive) since its the hurricane today, from last night they say they dont cover nothing... So basically I have to spend a lot pf money in get all the equipment back.... From my pocket

Now the funny facts:
911 took 2. Hours and 45 min to arrive...
Cop asked me: why you left your equipment on the trunk??
I will never leave that equipment in the trunk.

Me: could you check for fingerprints please.
Cop: the only way the fingerprints would be usefull its if this person has been arrested before...
-- how the f.. This cop knows if they have been or not arrested?
Me: well maybe if you check for fingerprints our doubt will get resolved duhhh!
Cop: ok let me check....( he gets his flash tinny light..)
Nah no fingerprints at all...

F*** csi this cop its really the ****, with a small flash light he can tell if there are fingerprints....
Cop: 99% of the time this things never get recovered...

Oh I forgot to mention: my wife ask the cop, could you look around?

Nypd sucks , thats the price you pay for living in NY sorry guys. Oh by the way you have a dark plate cover over your license plate.. I should put u a ticket.

Me: I just lost 15.000 worth of equipment, I am calm, put the ticket and maybe I will loose my calm

That is so messed up!!!!!!

I would call you insurance company and ask to talk to some one
with a brain cause that should be covered some how.
That truly sucks!!!! But that is the world we live in now.
People suck and dont want to work for things like the rest of us
so they steal. But those people will be sorry when they
run into the wrong person and they are looking down the barrell
of a 12 guage.

You should also call NY1 and or email them. They LOVE stories like this.
And they will actually do more than the cops.

Forget crazy, try driving all over Queens and seeing more than 15 gas stations out of service.
The last one I trekked too had guys parked up surrounding it bc they have "been told" that the gas will come at midnight

Unless tankers are allowed back into the city and some bridges/tunnels opened up, ain't no gas for a few days more I bet.
