So yeah, that girl they first raped...does she have a serious case of stockholm syndrome or something or was she lying about the entire thing?

Great Ep. I predict Lumen is arrested or killed taking the fall for the actvivities that her and Dex have carried out this season. Im leaning towards arrested.

I'm banking on death, since if she's alive, she can spill the beans on Dexter. no one (living) can know of his deeds!

I finally got to play catch-up and just finished watching the past 3 episodes.
Wow...I don't even know what to say.
#152
My ideal ending for Lumen would be that she gets away with it. Then Dexter makes sure that she goes back to her parents then go on with her life.
But that won't make good TV so as said before, she takes the fall for Dexter and either gets killed or get busted.
#153
I really am starting to like this season- Trinity was a hard run to follow up but the Lumen twist makes this storyline great.
My predictions...
-Quinn kills Liddy
-Deb starts closing in on Lumen+Dexter so Lumen confesses for everything allowing Dexter to continue his work
-Dexter helps Lumen escape and vanish

Am I the only one that is annoyed by the fact of only 1 season per year? 3 episodes left and we have to wait till Sept 2011!!!!!![]()

wow awesome episode. I too felt it started off slow but its getting better exponentially. Honestly, last night after I finally finished watching it, I had to just sit there for a few secs in awe. Almost felt like a silent clock 24 moment after it was done.
So my take, lumen takes the fall, confesses to protect dexter, deb, as she is clearly disgusted by what they had done to her, somehow helps her escape. Dexter and deb have a final moment together when dexter has a chance to confess after deb has broken the law to do the right thing ... he starts off by saying, "Deb I have a confession to make, pulls out his wood box with blood, opens it up .... " [24 silent clock] ... season over !!!

Dexter can't confide in Deb with the truth. She'd turn him in.
Otherwise, her head would explode trying to maintain his secret. It's just not in her nature.

I don't know. I think they're setting her up with the 'its a vigilante' stuff so that she can embrace it. Trinity's death turned her a bit darker, and she's fed up with the corruption in the force.
Think about it, her 2 biggest guys are going to be exposed as killers soon (Quinn for killing robocop; dexter for who he is), she'll have to go with it.
Either that or the series finale will have Deb discovering Dexter, and it will just go black.

I don't understand Dex.
He kills Robocop, then throws the laptop into the water. Don't you think divers will search the water for a murder weapon, only to find the laptop? There's no guarantee the hard drive will be unrecoverable that quickly.
Lumen going to the house alone was another bonehead move.
These lapses in judgment make me question just how good a team they are.

I'm sure the saltwater will eat away at the electronics much quicker than freshwater. How well are HD sealed???
I'm guessing there's a reason the camera focused in on Robocop's blood on Quinn's shoe(conveniently suede to soak up all that blood). Robocop's death will be pinned on Quinn?
Maybe Dexter will arrange everything so the vigilante killings will be pointing to the now dead Robocop. Then finally, Dexter will convince Lumen to go back home.

Yay, season 6 confirmed!

Thats a good point... I can see Quinn taking the fall based on that observation. More tragedy for Deb. Great episode and a lot to rap up.
I cant believe only one more to go already

while i think this season was a good follow up to season 4 if it ends the way it looks like its going to it will be oddly reminiscent of the Dokes situation. I also think Lumen is going to be taken out of the picture somehow.

Well, I can't say I like the fact that everything came to a close in the finale. Lumen leaving for what seems to be for good, the Liddy murder case closed within an episode(the way the episode ended makes it seem like they won't be revisiting it), and Quinn being cleared as a suspect of said case(which I still have no idea how it happened).
#173
Lumen is dangerous, since being alive she can still implicate Dexter. Who's to say she doesn't wind up in psychotherapy and spill the beans?
Quinn is also dangerous. Being cleared for Liddy's murder still leaves him suspicious of Dexter as Liddy's killer. Quinn knows Dex is the prime suspect. How can he stay quiet?
And now Deb lets vigilantes go free?! She is seriously damaged.
This was a difficult season, and not as entertaining as the Trinity plot line.
I guess there's always season 6 to hope for.

Lumen doesn't come back. I we would have heard Dexter or his father questioning letting her walk in this episode if they were going to explore that.
Quinn doesn't mess with Dexter for 3 reasons, 1. He loves deb, 2. He knows Dexter is dangerous, 3. Dexter saved his ass completely by falsifying the blood work.
Personally I was very impressed overall with this season. We all know there was no way to top the Trinity story, but I think they really gave us a good story, touched a lot on Dexter's humanity, and really gave us more depth for Deb and totally changed how she views being a cop.

What's up with the booty on Masuka's date?It was like BAM! Out there
While the ending wasn't the WTF jaw dropper from last season, I didn't expect it to be. The only surprising part for me was, Lumen deciding on her own to leave. I was expecting Dexter to ask her to go to start fresh and heal.
