does the material have a backing attached to the back?(the white). just wondering because looking for some with that backing so the adhesive doesn't seep through. project looks great man

yea it has a white backing that works good, as long as you dont go crazy with the glue it shouldn't seep through.

Had the insurance company come look at the car today. 3,000 in damage so they are gonna total the car. love having other people **** up my perfect good cars because they are too lazy to look behind them. luckily ill be able to slap on some original red fenders/hood from a parts car and shell be looking 100% again

Dang that sucks, it does look like its pretty easy to fix. So if they are going to total it does it mean that the car will now have a rebuilt title?

Dont think so, im pretty sure on cars older than 10 years it doesnt matter. either way its a real easy fix

What isurance Co. do you use? They definitely not working for you or they sent you some rookie cause my brother had an accident and his damage was WAY worse then that. The car hit him on the right and shifted the entire nose to the DS (88 GTI VR..FTW). The adjuster kept the damage estimate to something realistic and told my brother exactly what to do to still drive it. He got $2k and we've been gather the parts to fix it. Sadly we've realized that it shifted the frame but a friend of his has a body shop and is gonna fix it for him......meanwhile he still drives it.

You should've told him to be easy. They have no problem giving you a lower estimate. That is no where near $3k worth of damage. He could've kept it on or around the BB value so you can keep the car. Most people look for the most money. If i can easily fix it, gimme the BB value...f'k it.

I HATE insurance companys, honestly I don't really care what happens with them. Its the other guys policy, and since i wasnt even in the car its completely his fault. I got a cherry set of red fenders and a hood that i'm gonna put on the car. honestly they are even cleaner than the current original stuff on the car so its no big deal. it should cost me about $300 to fix it completely. I gotta buy a new set of e-codes and a another badgeless grille. Luckily there is no damage other than the fenders/grille/lights and hood. the inner fender and even the radiator are untouched.

Nice work on the headliner. Motivates me to actually finish mine lol.

This coupe is really looking good. I'm not typically a coupe fan, but yours is so well executed.
