Prepare to not be impressed!

I would not even call myself an "amateur photographer", but I like to have fun with a camera every once in a while. Thought I would share a few of my favorites and maybe learn a few pointers. So CC welcome! Most of these were taken with a D50.

good compositions on the first few! I probably would have moved the car to one side of the frame and kept the tree in the other side for the one with the shoes(?) hanging off the tree. It looks sort of awkward how you took it, like the tree is growing out of the hood!

Photos look pretty good. Numbers 3, 8, and 10 seem a either dark or dull imo. Numbers 2 and 4 are by far my favorites.

You're definitely headed in the right direction, however, most of your shots seem to be leaning to the left. Make sure you check your horizon when shooting.

I found a couple of his first ones to be on par or better than any of these latest examples. Can you clarify why you think these are an "amazing" improvement? I'm just curious what I'm missing that you're seeing? IMHO, a lot of these are still just snap-shot type photos (which is cool if that's what he's after).

In a lot of the first ones the sky is pretty blown out. Almost as if he just threw it on aperture priority and started snapping away. A lot of his later shots are not only composed a lot better, but the exposure on a lot of them is better(ex. most of the VW Bug shots.)
