I have been following this thread and after doing some numbers I dicided I can not spent that amout of money on the car.

If I lived in Arizona the story would have been different.

when you state 'gas engine and trans swap', was the car originally diesel ? That could change local California interest.

It definitely was a diesel when it started its life, and was actually registered in california before becoming an AZ car

Is there a reason that could change california interest? good or bad? sorry if i sound dumb on this but i wasn't aware...
