Yeah the previous owner cut the original harness from the Corrado at the firewall. I swapped over the motor(since it only has 4-5k since the rebuild) and wiring harness from my GTI. Had no luck getting it running on the stock Motronic ECU so I gave up with the stock wiring and bought standalone. Now I am rewiring everything because somewhere along the line something else is messed up and I can't figure it out. Figured it might be more of a headache rewiring everything now, but it will save me in the future when I slap a snail on the motor again. Trust me this might be my first Corrado, but it's not my first time working on a car.
