    All good.

If anyone feels like showing their VWVortex search skills, I'd appreciate it.
No big deal though, just curious. Never heard anything like that before.

Well my stock plastic splash guard and front lip were taken out by a dead turtle. I thought this one would be a little better for round two.

Saabstory is right, at high speeds most all street cars will get lift in the front unless you have aero. If the air entering doesn't have a place to be channeled through you're going to get lift. I think on the street it doesn't matter, but on the banked oval/high speed track/autobahn/etc you want to minimize that as much as possible.
I've run the banked oval a few times without one of them so I could have my tow hook in, I've since modified an extra grill so I can keep the grill in with the tow hook and keep things as the VW Engineers designed it.

Looked at mine as I drove off in my Honda, which got 38.79MPG on my last tank of gas.

That's 38.79MPG on back roads, too, due to construction and other BS as of late.

That's Awesome that the VW engineers were thinking about us for the times that we take the cars out for high speed runs

After seeing the HPA intake using the grille for more air, I'm also thinking it would be great to make some brake cooling ducts from there. Paired with some nice rotors like the RB 2-piece, I bet you wouldn't even need a BBK on the track.

We do have brake ducts...look at the under tray, there's 2 ducts that are designed to send air to the front brakes

I'll check it out...and the more I hear these things, the more I'm loving the engineering behind the R32.
But more air on the brakes couldn't hurt. I'm thinking something like this:

With the hose drawing air from the grille like the HPA intake.
